Perhaps the most enduring question during the Donald Trump campaign has been "What era is Trump even talking about when he says 'Make America Great Again'?" Because let's be real here, time traveling back to our past becomes increasingly unappealing the less you are a rich white dude. Weirdly, despite how "unfair" the press has been to poor Donald Trump, no one has really pressed him on this question, and thus we have been left to ponder this on our own.
I always thought they were the descendants of peasants and "tired, poor, huddled masses...wretched refuse," and so on. How that makes them superior to anyone is beyond me.

Also, I don't know how many of your users know how reddit works, but looking at downvoted comments is not how you get a feel for the user base. For the rest of the comments (the ones you think no one is going to read since your first two were SO DAMNING), you label them racist for comments like "race-baiting is bad" (Or maybe it's because they said "race to the stars". I can't tell).

There has always been a virulently racist streak in Americans towards immigrants, and you can find pics showing the same kind of racism to literally every kind of immigrant from every possible country. I came across at least one hardcore racist that wanted us to go back to the antebellum days. He actually tried to convince me that the Dred Scott decision was somehow still valid. I don't even think he was an old man, since he used language that made him sound fairly young to me. Than again, I could be wrong. Thankfully there are fewer and fewer people like that guy who are still around. Off course he was also homophobic in addition to being racist, as you would imagine. He tried to convince people on an LGBT blog that people should be allowed to discriminate against gay people, just because he didn't want to have to see two dudes kissing.
