Having spent time in Juneau and watched these bears (from afar) break off pieces of ice and sled down the mountain, he's probably dreaming of flying down the mountain in that barrow
A bunch of libertarians learned (or didn't learn) that lesson in New Hampshire when they were establishing their libertarian paradise. See "A Libertarian Walks Into a Bear".
They certainly had a coherent ethos. Gleichschaltung. Herr Trump is bringing that back and Obersturmführer Steven Miller will enforce the Leader's wishes.
I contend that bears exude dogginess. At least, black bears are like retrievers – curious and persistent learners, they're not aggressive unless trapped, and they love to play and enjoy the simple comforts.
What a week! And it's only Monday. Kilmar Ábrego Garcia released from one prison and already detained again. There ought to be a law against malicious prosecution. Actually I think there is but who's going to tell President TACO.
The thing about the "de minimus" tariff is that it was already incredible expensive to mail stuff to or from the US.
On sending in National Guard troops to other American cities: “We go in, we will solve Chicago in one week,” Trump declares. At the same time, Trump continues to hedge about whether he plans to move ahead in Chicago.
Trump gave a very discursive description of his efforts to stop fighting between nations, referring to Africa, then said he loves “Black people,” and that he did well with Black voters. Trump then says angrily that people call him racist.
Trump says he wants the Defense Department’s name to be changed back to the “Department of War.”
He also falsely claimed that under Biden, “nobody” wanted to sign up to be a firefighter or police officer or serve in the military.
“I don’t like a dictator, I’m not a dictator.”
The president has displayed soccer’s World Cup trophy on a table next to his desk in the Oval Office, days after he asked the president of the sport’s global governing body -- who had brought it for an event -- if he could keep it. Questions have been raised about the common refrain that the World Cup trophy is “solid gold,” a statement Trump echoed just now that has been made for many years, because its weight, according to some experts, is too light to be entirely gold.
“WHAT IS GOING ON IN SOUTH KOREA?” Trump wrote. “Seems like a Purge or Revolution. We can’t have that and do business there.”
NYT: "President Trump, in an Oval Office appearance with President Lee Jae Myung of South Korea as the decades-old alliance between their two nations shows signs of strain, praised the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. Mr. Trump repeatedly mentioned having a good relationship with Mr. Kim, saying the North had “great potential,” and at one point offered to arrange a meeting between Mr. Kim and Mr. Lee."
Every time I see the Felon in Chief's official portrait (like at DH's building) I can only think how much it looks like some images of devils. The urge to draw red horns on them is very strong
Update: “At least” one fractured toe plus multiple that are badly bruised. I’ve got this very fashionable shoe, orders to stay off my foot, and a work excuse. And once I get home I get to call and royally piss off the district manager. But that is beyond my control, so I’m going home to rest and probably nap
Regarding the two Texas House Democrats at the gay nightclub club in Dallas. Interesting fact about Pride Month in Texas (at least in Austin). It is held in August, unlike elsewhere. Evidently the reason was, historically, it was easier to get out of town talent to come. Easier to get venues. Also students back at UT, so more volunteers. Also too, less chance of rain in August than in June.
My sister is a big K-Drama and KPop fan (I sent her a link to the video). When she comes to visit we watch her K-Dramas (“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is quite good and worth a watch), and she makes us Korean food.
BTW the way, while I was typing this non-comment, she wrote back to say that she hasn’t seen it, it’s gotten “High praise”, and there’s talk of a live-action version. I’m guessing she’ll see it pretty soon.
When my friend’s boys were on the boat yesterday they made me put the ‘KPop DemonHunter movie on…not sure about it, but they love it and some weird creature on it…

Here's link to a bear cam, this one is a salmon cam but had the best highlight reel going r.n. why highlights? Well it's dark o'clock there right now!
I find the bear cams soothing.

I love it when bears sit and put their front paws on their knees, as if to say, "Alrighty then!"

Juneau is beautiful.
Steep, too- I bet they get going fast!
OMG. How cute.
Remember to check the loadbearing and bearloading capabilities of your barrow.
My burrow is bearproof, and I would be perfectly safe right now if I were in it.
Best to check your tommygun and flamethrower when dealing with bears!

I enjoyed the heck out of that book, and learned a lot too!
It is indeed quite instructive and enjoyable, especially the realization that you are not personally living through this.
Yup! Although this mindset is not entirely an import. New England would do well to reckon with this very deeply ingrained weirdness in its culture.
I found the 1989 David Hackett Fischer book 'Albion's Seed' absolutely fascinating.
Missing: the positive aspects of Nazi Germany
They had some natty threads.
They certainly had a coherent ethos. Gleichschaltung. Herr Trump is bringing that back and Obersturmführer Steven Miller will enforce the Leader's wishes.
With regards to that Lukovitch comic…? yeah, that would round the set out.
That was my thinking.
Although bear might rhyme with chair
It doesn't rhyme with barrow
If ursas choose to go that route
Their ass should be more narrow.
I really feel you should check with Bear: Furtherance of Ursitude on this...
🎶 BEEEAAARRROW
BEEEAAAAAROW
Daylight come and me wanna sit down 🎶
Beautiful bunch of ripe whatever...
Oso I see we're fat (bear) shaming now.
Bears don't really show concern
As regards their frame
It is their fate to hibernate
Their nature is to blame
😂
Floof bucket is a bear necessity.
Just realized you beat me to this joke by quite a bit.
Ballou to you!

"At peace with the world, in my wheelbarrow..."
It's a bear's life.
He's got the Bear Necessities.
Comfy ol' b'ar.
River the Bear thinks that he's a Cat.
I knew a cat named River once. He was a tux boi and the sweetest guy.
Bears are just big cats.
I contend that bears exude dogginess. At least, black bears are like retrievers – curious and persistent learners, they're not aggressive unless trapped, and they love to play and enjoy the simple comforts.
Oh, wait, that's cats too. I love them all!
Ha! Great minds!
Thank you for keeping me in the loop on Golden!

"Russia’s building a new listening station to spy on NATO, great."
Is this in addition to the listening station that they have inside the Oval Office?
Tbh that song slaps

Degenerate art? Hmm, where have I heard that before?
The kindergarten teacher used to write that on my finger paintings ALL THE TIME.

I wonder if The Dotard is going to try to ban Black Panther and Wakanda Forever.
Just ... don't tell him about them, okay?
If he didn't know Chicago existed he couldn't threaten to send the National Guard in there
