Better or worse than posing in front a bookcase full of books by Dr. James Dobson, the crankwad heading up Focus on the Family to whom Betsy's Mom and Dad gave an arkload of money?

I blame the lawyers, but that's probably not quite fair.

With the other hand, we're slapped with "USE PLAIN LANGUAGE", an initiative I first recall from the Clinton administration. Hey man, there's a reason jargon exists.

the question that I wish someone would have asked betsy is "so you have 5 grandchildren, how many of them are going back to a school with no plan for social distancing this fall."

I consider myself a political junkie but I can only handle it indirectly through sites like this. I don't know how you watch these shows.

Most republicans act stupider than they are to hide the pure malice, IMO.

Oh jesus dude, I'm with you. Yeah yeah I know its important to "hear from the other side" and blah blah, but most times, I'll take my crazy filtered with heaping dash of fucked up sarcasm thank you very much. Sure sure I'm in an echo chamber and I am just a sheep. I'm supposed to go to NewsMax or America One and...what exactly? Change my mind that the right is infected with crazy? I don't think so. Sorry. No.

Needs to have ‘willful.’ One can be reckless, but lack specific intent. Willful removes all doubt. A safety pro I worked with used to throw around $70,000 as the fine when ‘willful’ appears in an OSHA violation, and that is per incident. If each mask is an incident, that would make some super-duper expensive masks.

I recall a case where management obliterated warning labels from containers of cyanide, a horrifically toxic material that has industrial uses. Arsenic is much tamer by comparison. I think some people went to prison for this.

If nothing else, ‘fraud’ works also too.

“If [Europe] can do it, why can’t we?”

This fallacy of false comparison here is truly astonishing.
