Actual wall will be built even more bigly Kids, ya better hold on to those wall futures In 2006, Boeing and some other lucky ducks scored $1 billion dollars to build a border wall. Five years and 53 miles later, the Feds jumped ship, citing the project as pointless, ineffective, and expensive.
"When fascism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." Great line, and now the perfect illustration to go with it.
Not actually a Sinclair Lewis quotation, btw, but probably derived from James Waterman Wise, Jr.:"If fascism comes, it will not be identified with any 'shirt' movement, nor with an insignia, but wrapped up in the American flag and heralded as a plea for liberty and preservation of the constitution." (Speech before the John Reed club, 1936)
I just emailed his party headquarters. Ironic thing is the message emblazoned at the top of the website homepage. Something about "responsibility".....
Totally O/T, but I heard this on CBC yesterday and found it insightful. The number of foreign students attending Canadian colleges and universities has skyrocketed lately. The money this brings in huge, outdoing things like softwood exports.
Three guess why Canada is getting this influx of students AND money and the US isn't, and the first two don't count.
I could see it working in some place like Rapid City SD where the buses stop running at 6 p.m. (I know, I used a bus to get to and from a health food store-restaurant). Here in NYC, ridiculous.
You seem nice. Some people need to use Uber/Lyft on certain occasions. Taking an already terrified cat to the vet on a bus seems kind of cruel to me. I live in the boonies, and I sure as fuck can't count on cab service even if I reserve a cab in advance. So. if I ever am without my own cars, I wouldn't hesitate to call Lyft.
They were, kinda. I think you could always call for a cab. Having one actually show up is another thing. But you're right, they should have seen this coming. The way the record companies should have seen what happened to them coming.
That's true for every retailer that accepts cards as payment and the dude at the taco truck doesn't sigh when I hand him my card.
HAHHAHAHA! So funny and original. Those millennials are sooo stupid and lazy too!!
And simultaneously fucking over the drivers. Talk about evil genius.
She has a button fetish?

At most, I'll blow them off with "Your stupidity is not my problem."And then block them, because their stupidity is not my problem.
Agreed. If they could do it in the "Pop up videos" style too, I'd love it even more.
But there are regulations to make sure that doesn.....
Never mind.

Such a special lil' snowflake you are.
And awfully thin-skinned.
And then there are those of us (yeah, we exist) without phones.....
No reception.

I had no idea Uber was still a Thing. Good to know.
