In the same boat and couldn’t agree more. We also need to consider excessive executive pay, in whatever form, that corporations get to expense against income for tax purposes. How about any salary above $1mil per head gets taxed to the corporation at 28% in addition to the personal income tax the overpaid exec incurs. Seems to me the economy did pretty well under Eisenhower at a marginal top rate of 90% which put downward pressure on executive pay and rewarded reinvestment as well as creating a solid, if unevenly distributed middle class. As to capital gains, all are not created equally. If I make money buying existing stocks I benefit no one except me, create no jobs and that needs to be taxed as regular income. On the other hand, investing in startups that create good paying jobs in the US targeted to emerging Environmentally sustainable technologies in clean energy, clean food production or other areas of priority for the common good, this must be incentivized.
What I don't get is that they see such a small picture. If they vote the party into majority for years and years and years they will eventually get all of that in increments
Most federal programs we like are actually really shitty programs that were perfected over the years into becoming what we have now. We can do better if we consistently put Dems in Congress
Yeah, this is thing that Republicans and a big segment of the rich business owners never seem to get: Customers without money aren't customers. And employees who are underpaid and abused don't make good employees, which also drives away customers.
I've always been able to tell which airlines are screwing their employees by the attitude of the on-board staff. And it's generally reflected in lousy service in other ways, to the point that I try never to repeat with those airlines.
That was because Breitbart edited out the context so all anyone heard was "you didn't build that" and then Fox ran it on a loop 24/7.

I thought that Adam raised a Keynes.
"The votes left to collect, which Biden needs to win, are to the Left of the Democratic Party."
I keep hearing that, but all the evidence says it's not true: https://www.vox.com/policy-...
"Raise Keynes" I'd buy that t-shirt
Also, "Invest in actual people! "
As long as we all remember that the times change and ppl with them, and don't run around pointing fingers and screaming he's inconsistent!
Now that there is a heretical idea. Well done!
