Our old pug used to do head turns a lot to pick up sounds. Tater, on the other hand, has upright, independently rotatable ears, each capable of scanning and aiming at me telling him he missed the puppy pad.
as Meidas Touch noted, pulling stunts in a state court with no jury in this case is an entirely different beast than your lawyer not even knowing how to introduce evidence in federal court, and her client also throwing tantrums and trying to defy a federal judge's orders.
It will be interesting to see whether it gets out to you before stores decide the shrinkage is too great. As context, I have seen them in IL, VA, and FL so far.
OK, so I read the pasta article. I hate to come across as some sort of pasta pedant, but…
Any competent home cook knows all this stuff. Taste as you go, layer your flavors, pasta water is precious like gold, finish with butter, etc. But there’s always the, open a jar of Ragu into a pot of pasta I which has been cooked with oil in the water, so the sauce just slides right off.
To me, the difference between restaurant pasta and home pasta is that I can’t get mine to the table hot enough.
Fancy plating isn't an issue when you're blind, lol.
It always stands to repeating; the pro-life party isn't. Poor de la Sancha Cerros family.
Hooray, IRS! Catch as many of those rich cheats as you can before the Supreme Court decides to ban you. (May the anti-regulation people get the first servings of unregulated food & drugs)
I once tried to cash a check for $75 at the payor's bank and they were going to charge me $7 for the privilege. Fuck that. I deposited it at my bank and made a concurrent $75 withdrawal for free.
It's crazy. My local Lowe's just went whole hog on self-checkout, eliminating most of the cashier checkout lines. Lowe's?! Talk about your opportunities for accidental-intentional theft - little pieces of hardware in plastic bags that are $12-24 dollars a piece? Items bought in multiples like 2x4s and sheets of plywood? What are they thinking?
Aldi has no self-checkout and yes, sometimes you have to wait in a line, but they are fast, very efficient, and reduce opportunities for theft.

Ah yes, women famously make decisions about having children based on the tax code. Also I assume the ultrasound safety act is going to make it damn hard to get a diagnostic ultrasound. For the "health" of the woman of course. How do these people live with themselves?
"One in five shoppers reported that they’ve accidentally stolen items during self-checkout in a survey from Lending Tree. One in seven said they’ve stolen from self-checkout on purpose."
So only 2 out of every 7 shoppers is honest AND competent?
I wish the judge would make PAB go sit in the furtherest corner of the court room - as far as possible from the jurors, but still in it. If he refuses, charge him with contempt and give him 24 hours of immediate incarceration.
I might be wrong - I often am - but I think the judge can do that. I mean, if he can dispel that yahoo FROM the court room, it stands to reason he could make PAB sit anywhere IN the court room that he deems necessary.

Ayn Rand, Rand Paul, and Paul Ryan walk into a bar. The bar serves tainted alcohol because there are no regulations. They die.
I always thought the reason pasta is better at restaurants is that someone else will be doing the dishes.

Why yes, all my friends are snarky.
Joe should also eliminate fees for cashing checks drawn on customer accounts.

Common. Tough for small businessmen, mechanics, et.al. If you don't have an account at the client's bank.... So stupid. The money is right there.
I don’t take checks from a bank I know charges those fees. Or I require extra in the amount of the fee.
Since there are plenty choices I don’t feel bad for the customer.

Aldi and Lidl both have self-checkout.
Not the Aldi's around here (Ohio, MA, don't know about other states.)

Yeah, I'd get rid of those machines, too.
"Why Not Me?" was maybe one of the most prescient books ever. Also one of the funniest.
Al Franken gets elected president (Senator IRL) on one issue, which is ATM fees (overdraft fees IRL right now!).
Someone give Franken an award!

I would say that isolating him in a room in the courthouse with only a monitor to view the proceedings would be appropriate.
Yeah Supreme Court.
Who needs clean air and clean water when they done got Jay-Zuss?
