That one senator has been pretty comfortable with the NRA for a very long time. He usually cites that he has a lot of rural, gun owning constituents as to why he's never been all that good on gun law reform.
More importantly, that one senator has fuck all to do with how Vermont runs it's internal business. He's at the federal level. He does not tell the state how to do anything, who can or can't incorporate in the state, or what the state will do. The state has its own state level government for that.
Just like Biden had no say in what the state of Delaware was doing internally when he was a Senator, Sanders has no say here.
What's heartening to me is that in the Times comments, the majority are from gun owners making it clear they don't support the NRA, and that they understand their guns AREN'T being taken away, and pissed off that the NRA grifted members' dues.

It's the difference of one letter: a 501c3 is a charitable org that can solicit donations. A 501c4 can lobby and give political contributions.
For half a second I misread your last word as "herpes". Which is also entertaining, lol
Sunyata is still commenting? Ick.
California Rifle And Pistol Association. So, CRAPASS?
Then don't try to change anything. If it's going to be the case that we all need to cower in fear of what they might do, then nothing will change.
