The question I want them to ask Marco is if he'll be willing to move to a different state if Trump considers him for VP.

Ta, MM. I could not do what you do; not least because I don't have cable TV. You are due some self-care at the very least.

Let's not forget that in the extremely terrifying event that the R's pull off the steal they tried in '20, whomever wins the VP shakedown will also be the one who gets (the missed opportunity by Pence) to invoke 25/4 when the glitching doesn't unglitch...

Mr. Mora, I thank you for your service. I cannot pay attention to these bastards and their disingenuous bullshit for more than a few picoseconds before bursting into flames of righteous indignation.

TRUMP / LECTER 2024!

Trump is WAY too crass for Lecter. Lecter detested rudeness. Anthony Hopkins was way too over-the-top to accurately portray the character as written by Thomas Harris. Brian Cox did well as Lecter in Michael Mann's failure of a movie, Manhunter.

You see Byron Donalds at these things. He's a Republican from Florida. For him to be a US representative, he must be a qualified voter in Florida. Trump votes in Florida. Does Donalds not realize the Constitution of the United States absolutely requires presidential candidates ance vice-presidential candidates to come from different states?

Or does he figure it just doesn't matter anymore? Or does he figure Trump will fictionally move back to NYS to allow him to be his running mate?

Or is he, as the preacher of Rock Ridge asked before the raid by irregular forces of Hedley "Heddy!" LaMarr, is he just jerking off?

Byron and Marco both give Trump another sweet, sweet power move.

In some interview about his VP pick, either Byron or Marco come up, Trump would say, "He's a very fine man. He'd make a great vice president. But my attorneys tell me the president and vice president can't be from the same state. That's too bad. He really would make a great vice president."

And then wait to see if the guy would interpret that as, "You've got the job if you move," and voluntarily upend his life and establish residency in another state, secure that such a show of loyalty guarantees the pick.

We don't even have to put a spoiler alert in here, because we all know how this story ends.

If Donalds is realistic, he’s doing this to raise his profile and maybe become a cabinet secretary. Your average Republican thinks the top two spots should be occupied by white guys. The fact that they complain so much about DEI to this day proves that they think non-white guy = going with lesser choice.

"Or does he figure it just doesn't matter anymore?"

DOES it matter? they break the law/ rules with UTTER impunity and immunity...Remember how Trump never released his taxes or complied with the emoluments clause?

If no one stops him he can and will do whatever he wants

I think it's going to be another Mike Pence type. I'd not heard of him before he was "tapped" (we see what we did here). I think we're all going to be like "who?" except for the handful of Wonkers who live in his--totally will be a dude--district. I mean, a middle America, totes white, completely meh guy who is one of those repubs who yes, holds all the terrible ideas and "values" of all the horribles, but stays pretty low-key.

Everyone thinks grandstanding will get Trump's attention when all it does is send the message that here's someone who'll compete with him for the spotlight.

Vice Presidents are supposed to be potted plants. See the 12th amendment and the presidential election of 1796. It was also the first time an amendment acknowledged that the constitution is flawed. So much for originalism.

There are two kinds of potted plants. The kind that voluntarily stand in the shade like Pence, Humphrey, and Quayle and the kind that are shut out like LBJ, and all four of Roosevelt's veeps. Burr was the later but had extra-curricular interests.

There must be some specific PR training for women. I've seen and heard Noem, Mace, Boebert, Green and now Stefanik getting extremely defensive and obnoxious in interviews. Cuz, nothing says "I'm not lyin'" like shouting and talking over the person interviewing them.
