Marc Thiessen has made his Joe Namath guarantee: There WILL be an al-Qaeda attack on America next year when 9/11 turns the "big one-oh." How does Thiessen know this? Is he a member of al-Qaeda? Perhaps. But if he is not now, he will be soon, because he needs to infiltrate them to MAKE SURE they are working on a plan to do some terrorism next year. Plus, al-Qaeda probably gives you a cool letterman's jacket with your name on it when you join. Anyway, everyone who does not think that a terrorist attack will happen on that day is DEAD WRONG, because the terrorists pretty much have to do one, right?
but we can be pretty sure the Air Force or Marines or somebody will be conducting "realistic" exercises that day, and later apologize for alarming the public.
At least after 9/11/11, the nation will be united. Democrats and Republicans, right and left, Tea Party and socialists -- we will all stand with our President against the cowards. Just like last time.
But what if they try to psych us out and wait till 9/20 next year? Or 8/19? Or what if 9/11/2001 was just a one-time event that they can't ever repeat but which we'll be terrified of for the rest of our lives and spend our countries' treasure and blood trying to avenge?
Ah but you forget that there is a Phys. Ed. component to the terrerrest training program. We've all seen the footage depicting jungle gyms and all of the swinging one must do. The bars are practically a foot apart. No, Mr. Thiessen simply cannot swing from the jungle gym and keep pace with such a rigorous and physically demanding program where one is required to maintain one's grip, support one's weight, and swing along a jungle gym. You needn't worry.
That makes total sense. After all, the 2001 attack on the WTC came 8.54 years after the 1993 attack, which just so happens to be a decade on the Islamic calendar.
