We absolutely should but let's remember Trump has already said (to drunky Jeanine) that any protests after his election would be "taken down" swiftly and literally said they would be an "insurrection". Barr has told prosecutors to charge current BLM protestors with "sedition".
People are, will, and should protest all of this egregious bs but with Trump, Barr, etc easily throwing around dangerous words like "sedition" and "insurrection", we also need to be aware of how they will react to people expressing their First Amendment right. The closer we get to the election, the more fearful I become. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see how any of this will end well.

Trump and his goons are hard at work planting the seeds that any type of Biden win will obviously be "stolen" from the true winner - Trump. It may be obvious to most of us what is going on but there are a large-enough (and very loud) chunk of the population who will refuse to accept Biden as their president, no matter how handily he wins. They will be unable to accept that Trump wasn't cheated and they will support him in whatever bs he and his administration try to pull to prove Trump is the only real, true president. When he refuses to concede, they will support him in that, no matter what evidence there is to the contrary.
Yeah, I definitely agree that's a concern, but I hope the sheer size would make any action like that impossible. They can't arrest tens of millions of people across all 50 states for protesting, and I doubt they want images or videos of violent crack downs of nonviolent protesters. Gassing a peaceful crowd for a photo op did not go well for them, and if anything it makes people more aware of how dangerous and fascist they are. At least, that's my hope.
I feel like I need to carry something on my person when I go to vote to feel more secure against someone trying to bully me at the poll station. I'm in Texas, so I don't have the option to vote absentee or by mail since I'm neither absent nor disabled. D; At least, I'm white-passing, so as long as I don't go in with any unnatural hair color, maybe the local yokels won't recognize me as a liberal voter. D;
But how long it takes can vary. After all N. Korea is past first generation, and I have no idea about Putin's super long-term plans since he's been going this long.
I watched some videos of a clerk in a county (Detroit?). Her name is Karen Spranger. Or something. She's been under attack from the employees union because she harasses employees, who're barely on a lower level than herself and any measures taken against her seem to drive her mad. She sues the city council and at the same time asks them for $100,000, and also crashes her county car when it goes against her. She's always seen on camera being a crook. I see her as a sort of Trump laid bare, an unfavored Trump that had no allies and no advantages-- just the drive. It's taken her pretty far. Like with Trump, she's so weird it's taken news people a long time to grasp the bare nature of her activities, but the last I saw I think she was headed for the hoosegow, or at least "making other arrangements." But what I want to say is, I saw what an outrage it is to steal the rights of others, make others miserable, and lie about it. Who do they think they are? It's awful. This goes for McConnell as well as Trump. Just twerps, feeling real good about themselves as Beetlejuice put it.
