I feel you. My 84 year old dad is absolutely determined to fly to Copenhagen this May, to the point that I feel like there’s a better chance of COVID19 miraculously disappearing by then than me convincing him.

South Korea can now test 10,000 people a day. They use drive-through booths with well-protected people. They take mouth swab(s) and no one ever has to get out of the car.
In our country the first batch of test kits was defective (I wondering if continually defunding public health services helps explain why.) Supposedly there are 1 or 2 million test kits somewhere, but none of trump's people seem to know where. Meanwhile trump lies and says anyone in the US can get tested.
Like climate change, COVID-19 can be handled and mitigated. But not if our government does nothing but spew misinformation and worry about the stock market.
