The claws on this little beast are terrifying.

SkeptiKC's avatar

You have to wonder how long you'd retain an intact, uninjured hand after reaching out to pet that precious little predator.

Now THOSE are Murder Mittens.

Soooooo cute!

Menotsure's avatar

Some people may see cuteness

As she eats and licks her jaws

But all I see wrapt 'round the bowl

Are deadly paws and claws.

Those paws. Murder Mittens

Did that panther steal those claws from a bear?

He stole them from Li'l Feller.

The panther is like a leopard,

Except it hasn't been peppered.

Should you behold a panther crouch,

Prepare to say Ouch.

Better yet, if called by a panther,

Don't anther.

My mind drifts back to a simpler time only a few years ago. Those were the days! All we really needed to worry about was MURDER HORNETS. The media was completely full of murder hornets and nothing but those stinging shitheads. Then Covid-19 showed up and revealed that the President of The United States really was going to be the death of us.

A short - not so sweet - fucking rant from me this morning. The fuck who thinks he's some kind of warrior fighting war hero and yet a total and complete fucking coward needs to take a long walk off a very short pier. He's a misogynistic fuck who just blocked Navy promotions for 5 women.  These aren't just silly underling women these are career officers. All of these women have dedicated over 25 years of their lives to serving this country. All of them have seen combat. All of them should have been promoted to admiral. You'll be ever so shocked to learn that over half of his purges are women, women of color or both.

I need to go splash some cold water on my face and put my fist through a wall.

Fuck that fucking fuck - Rebecca

At my age death is a constant hovering companion. I sometimes wonder how it will happen. Will it be a car accident? Cancer? A giant 250 pound freak hailstone? Fatal overdose of Nicholas Cage movies?

I know I overthink things too much but did I really need to add "explosive diarrhea" to the list?

Thanks for nothing donnie!

I scare myself when I try to psychoanalyze our shit for brains President, but it seems to me that when he conjured up the idea of charging tolls for passage through the Strait, he was thinking about the likelihood that he's gonna run out of money for his little excursion and that Congress isn't going to give him any new money any time soon.

So, in his pea brain, he then thought, oh, well, we'll just ask the countries who won't be paying tolls to invest money here in the US of A, and from those investments, we will generate tax revenues and that money can pay for the excursions.

Jeezus. Now I'm really scared.

Linoleum von Curmudgeon, Esq.'s avatar

Finally! They have found a way to make the consumption of fresh produce, the dietary goal so cherished by Michelle Obama, into a way to make eating food a dangerous risk.

It's no accident that the "Mar-A-Lago Look", so favored by this administration for women, includes stick thin emaciation often found in concentration camp survivors.

freakishlystrong's avatar

Don't hit the link in JVL article. It goes to an honestly insane, frothing rant on his janky twitter. He's beyond unhinged. Instead of tolls, someone told him to extort "investments" in to the former United States in the form of billions and billions, billions like nobody has ever seen before. Roads, bridges, factories, America is back, baby! It's fucking infuckingsane.

Information on Lindsey Graham appreciated, but after glancing at some of it, I realized that I don't remember things the same way. I remember when he was prosecuting President Clinton, back when Graham was still just a congresscritter. I saw no more moral clarity than, than at any other time. I'm sure he must have had some - perhaps back when he adopted his sister, so she could be financially supported. But in his political life? Not that I recall offhand, other than a few lapses into ethics and honesty, which never lasted long.

Yes, a great many things are Susan Collins' fault, and that shooting is most assuredly, one of them.

Iran/Contra worked so well the first time, why wouldn't we do it again? After all, our Dear Leader IS stuck in the 80s.

Reply from the editor to the Communist Party USA letter . Edited for brevity.

<It used to be said of the indigenous peoples who once roamed the Great Plains that they made use of every part of the animal. Capitalists, in their own way, emulated the people who, for their benefit, were driven off the plains by the U.S. Army. Use up the workers as they make the product, then, for a little extra profit, poison them as they eat it.

Isn’t that self-defeating? No. Thanks to the human drive towards reproduction, there will always be more where they came from.

Now here we are with the climate itself sending us dire warnings every day. Ordinary people can see what’s coming and want to stave it off. The capitalists, distracted by the thought of stranded assets and lost profits, have other ideas.

Why, it’s almost enough to dishearten a person. Not us, though. We know which side we’re on, and we know they are outnumbered.>

<There was a time when it would have been risky to publish anything sent by your organization: this state was in thrall for decades to one of the nation’s most-feared red-baiters. Sadly, it was not until after his death that the world learned of William Loeb’s heinous crimes. Yes, Virginia, there really are pedophiles out there. Our advice: be wary of those yelling loudest about them.>
