I am not sure what his motives were. I do know later in life that he fled a Boston sentence for Florida and started a couple of swamp land schemes there, was caught and sent back to Boston to serve a couple of years.

I remember reading about Charles Ponzi, the original Ponzi scheme guy. When it all started to go to shit, he didn't head for the hills. He stayed around, he kept up the appearance of a legit businessman, paid out investors while he still had money, and then he sat still for the collar and the prison sentence. It almost looks like he didn't see the end game coming, or more likely, didn't want to admit it even to himself.

That is true. If fate does not intervene on Trump's side, than firing Mueller cannot have worse consequences than allowing the investigation proceed unimpeded. If nothing else, firing Mueller will create a lengthy delay that provides additional time for a Hail Mary.

You know? It is usually the counsel telling his client to 'don't speak publicly or it may damage your case'. Donny would be entirely justified in this instance to not pay for this kind of advice.

That 'Hail Mary' is some justification for firing Mueller and ending the investigation. Whether it be by confirming Kavanaugh or sidelining Rosenstein and/or Sessions.

The thing about putting people in a hopeless position where they feel they have nothing is that they also feel they have nothing left to lose.

I thought for sure that FDF would have gotten a well deserved day off after Thursday's trauma. LOL

Even with an open book take home exam, Trump would find a way to fail.

And I don't see why Rudolfo and the rest keep falling back on this "60 day" myth. Comey didn't honor it, and like the DOJ "guideline" about indictments--these aren't Rules, Laws, Regulations or Statutes. Those are the things that have force, not opinions and recommendations. That's sort of the general definition of "Rule of Law".

And didn't Rudolfo also say that Mueller would have the report done by Sept 1? Doesn't seem like Mueller has even worked on a revision of the first draft at this point.

Watching a series on Netflix about the Mafia, there was a young Rudy talking about how the NY AG's office used the RICO laws to break up the mob. Funny how those same laws are going to be used against his client. You'd think Rudy wouldn't be surprised. You'd think.

Mr. Mueller will accept written answers from Mr. Trump on questions about whether his campaign conspired with Russia's election interference, Mr. Mueller's office told the president's lawyers in a letter, two people briefed on it said on Tuesday.

That's only because ANY answer, written, oral (don't go there) is going to be an easily refuted lie.
