I feel the same way, and I thug for my union. But so help me, many of my brothers and sisters are vocally anti-vax, and if leadership puts politics before safety, well...
Someone on another thread brought up the authoritarian mindset. We asked, cajoled, begged these people to get vaxxed, and they just grinned and said, "No," because that ability to deny us gave them power and status in their eyes.
At the same time, these same people will bend to the will of anyone they perceive as having authority over them. The whole reason the antivax thing worked. They won't vax if they're asked, but they will vax if they're ordered.
"Bossman said vax or be fired. Guess I'm getting vaxed."
Tucker told them they didn't have to do it because that would be tyranny, and we don't have to put up with tyranny in America. Tucker told them they were protected by the law and the Constitution.

I would be thrilled if the vaccine changed some of these nimrods' DNA. It wasn't really topnotch to begin with.
