Is there anything preventing the Democratic party from having say PBS or NPR host a debate instead of forcing people to sit through the crap spewed by the lobotomized court jesters at CNN and MSNBC?
I think that the fine folks at CNN got their heads together and said, Hey, let's fuck these people up real good, because that's GREAT TELEVISION. Maybe as good as The Apprentice, the best program ever, everyone says so, believe me.
The Too Far Left thing drives me up a freaking wall. No one talks about how the GOP is essentially a white nationalist party at this point (Way Too Far Right) or frets about how the Republicans are going to appeal to voters in diverse urban areas of the country. It's almost as if it's just a given they are extremist nut jobs that only care about the base, yet the rest of us are expected to treat them as a legitimate opposition party at the same time.
The media is absolutely responsible for continuing the narrative that the only real America is the "heartland" (i.e. flyover country) and the only real Americans are the ones who live there. That our Too Far Left is Center-Right in most other developed nations, but no one talks about that either, also drives me up the freaking wall.
Especially when any plan will undoubtedly be changed in Congress - because they are the ones that actually make the laws, not the President. The WH can only suggest, guide, and promote. The President says "We need bratwurst"; Congress makes a sausage that hopefully at least superficially resembles bratwurst.
The commercials are the main reason the networks DO debates, they are big money makers. Remember when CBS guy said he knew Trump was bad for the country but the debates with Trump and other GOPs made lots of money. Or something like that. They want fights to break out because RATINGS..just like Trump.
I was invited to a Warren for President watch party. But it was held at an Irish pub. I hardly ever drink alcohol. I checked out the menu. The only vegan food was a way-overpriced salad, fried potatoes, and mixed vegetables. I had a garden meeting after my weekly trip to Brooklyn, and while I love Liz, I passed. CNN sucks, and I didn't need any more proof of that. Thanks, Evan.
