"HOMAN: President Trump has already found 145,000 children. In Minnesota alone"

Oh Fucking Christ on a pogo stick!

Erisian's avatar

"Homan is wise to have shifted blame to Todd “I transferred Ghislane Maxwell to cushier accommodations” Blanche and Pam ”The Dow Is Over 50,000” Bondi."

Homan (bless his heart) tried to shift blame to AG Birkenau Barbie and Blanche, but Homan has the same credibility as the rest of the assholes serving in the current regime. No matter what he says or does he still is on the hook for the same illegal, unconstitutional, and illiberal actions taken by the ICEholes. As the Border Czar he has considerable input on immigration enforcement, therefore he has a good amount of the blame (and opprobrium) for what's going down in Minneapolis and everywhere else the ICEholes are overly active.

-----

"That would be something she'd [DHS' Birkenau Barbie] have to answer."

Yeah, right, her answers would be no different than any other MAGAdroid asshole's: screaming, misdirecting, and insulting those who dare question her activities -- in general, just being childish.

-----

"I don't like the masks either, but because threats against ICE officers, you know, are up over 1500 percent, actual assaults, and threats are up over 8000 percent, these men and women have to protect themselves."

This begs the usual response: prior to the Fulvous Fuckwad's coronation ICE didn't need masks for self-protection. The agents might not have been one of the people's favorites but they were following the laws and not doing everything they can to violate the civil and human rights of immigrants (documented or undocumented) and citizens (both native born and nationalized). One of the basic rules of Karma is violence begets violence; they wouldn't experience hazards to themselves and their families if they weren't abusive, dangerous, and threatening families in the first place.

-----

"DOJ interpret that law saying in certain — in certain circumstances"

There is no interpretation needed by the DOJ, the law is the law, and claiming otherwise is unmitigated bovine scat. Interpreting is the responsibility of an ***independent*** Judiciary and not some incompetent, unqualified asshole leading a weaponized DOJ answering to a corrupt and vindictive POTUS instead of the People. Plus, US laws are very specific as to the difference between an administrative warrant and a judicial one. (see: https://www.aclusc.org/immigration-enforcement-administrative-vs-judicial-warrants/)

-----

"They ought to be saying “thank you.”"

Just like a wannabe frat rat on the receiving end of a paddle, like Chip Diller from "Animal House," "Thank you, sir, may I have another?"

Wasatch County GOP chairman accused of waterboarding teen daughter

HEBER CITY — The Wasatch County GOP chairman, who is also a father, was charged Wednesday with waterboarding his teenage daughter.

David Nephi Johnson, 54, was booked into the Wasatch County Jail on Tuesday and charged in 4th District Court on Wednesday with aggravated child abuse, a first-degree felony.

Johnson is chairman of the Republican Party of Wasatch County.

The investigation began Jan. 21 when police received a report from the Division of Child and Family Services that a teenage girl "did not feel safe in her home and expressed fear for her life," according to a police booking affidavit.

During an interview, the girl said her father waterboarded her as punishment for not cleaning her room and "having it be spotless to (her father's) expectations" before she went out with friends, the affidavit states.

Homan's a clown. If he didn't get to keep the 50k, he should just admit it. That's fine, he should have given it back. The FBI isn't going to cover for him forever.

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

What is with this "threats have gone up 8000%" bullshit? Based on what? What were the threats before? Japper didn't ask. And let's do some mathing here: 800% would be eight times the # of threats. This is why I hate it when anyone uses percentages, because it makes the numbers seem YUUUUGE. So 8000% would mean threats have gone up by a factor of 80. Not 80 more threats, but 80 TIMES the old number of threats. So... 80 times what? Two? Ten? A hundred? And also, when is Take Japper writing his EXPOSÉ on Rump's cognitive decline? What a simpering, pusillanimous pustule of a pretense of perspicacity. Also a prick.

Zyxomma's avatar

Ta, MM. Yes, you watch so we don't have to, and we are eternally grateful for that.

2Cats2Furious's avatar

One of the other bullshit things Homan said - in response to the Democrats’ demand that ICE/CBP agents wear badges and identification - is that they already do, referring to “placards” on vests that identify the agency they work for.

1. Not all of them do, since we’ve seen numerous examples of “plainclothes” agents, like the ones who kidnapped that college student off the street, or the guy in the grey hoodie who removed the gun from Alex Pretti’s holster.

2. Even if they wear placards identifying their specific agency (ICE, CBP, etc.), the whole point is that they need to have visible information that shows their INDIVIDUAL identity, so they can be held accountable. This could be their name, or at least badge number. You know, like actual law enforcement officers wear.

Just because Homan isn’t as in-your-face aggressive like Bovino, it doesn’t mean that he’s “reasonable” by any stretch of the imagination.

Teen Laqueefa's avatar

Bovino had short man's syndrome, for some vertically challenged men it's a real thing.

I would hate being short. 6'1" and loving it up here.

I'm sure the first thing in which I ever saw him was To Kill a Mockingbird, in which he played Boo Radley. Saw it at the drive-in with my family when I was a kid. May his memory always be a blessing.

Was that with or without help from his good friend Jeffery Epstein?

Permanently Confused@68's avatar

WTF does he even mean by that? Kids they lost during Rump 1.0? Trafficked kids (same kids)? I mean, who? Where? What? How?

devourerofpancakes's avatar

Has Homan found all the kids he lost during the family separation policy he oversaw?

Amanda Rez's avatar

It means they updated the system to show where children were placed. What I heard this morning is that when children are placed with relatives, etc by the courts, child services, their info is entered into a database which can then get out of date. So by “finding” these children, what they did was actually update the database with the kids info. Not really “finding” but updated. It’s just another twist of words for this administration
