Sadly, I think it will probably take the complete removal of all social welfare and safety nets to coax American voters into voting for their economic interests again, instead of voting based on their hatred of out-groups. I guess we'll see, because Social Security and Medicare are definitely not long for this world.
Will call centers hire people in nursing homes? Maybe on a free volunteer basis?
Can the elderly do four hours a day gardening or cleaning at the nursing home?
How about a physical therapy assistant helping others walk around?
Care for the bed-bound dementia and Alzheimer's patients?
There must be lots of jobs they could do. Then the employees could be fired. The nursing home could make a better profit for the owner and shareholders.

I was about to share this. My favorite part of the story is about customers getting daily phone calls from the AI chatbot, "muttering" and suggesting drugs they don't even need.
