Today, a Quinnipiac poll came out answering the question, do you trust Putin? 81% of Americans said, no. 9% said, yes. Is it possible this is the uniting thing that could get Republican voters to get involved? Everyone with a Republican Senatorial or Rep to call them now!

Ta, Marcie. We live in a neighborhood full of Ukrainians; they may not have liked us dirty hippies back in 1970, but we all learned to get along. That Thing from Mierda Loco is Putin's Puto. Slava Ukraini. 🌻🇺🇦💙💛

I ain't gonna bother reading this story, 'cause I'm already getting tired of this shit, and I'm certain (even without reading) that all sources be 'unnamed' . . .

Besides, at this point, I just ain't buying it . . . they might have started a little scared of him, but by now most Republicans are in on it . . . if they are saying this shit, it's just getting a little practice in covering asses in case Trump falls . . .

Ukraine has been fighting this war since Putin invaded 10 years ago. They're not stopping until he's gone. That's the only way it ends.

Typical abuser mentally. “I only hurt you because you make me hurt you.” If Ukraine wasn’t so damned committed to democracy and freedom, seeking to join an alliance with other free nations, Russia wouldn’t have to murder them.

I’m ready for the European Union and international community to denounce Trump and the current administration as an enemy of international peace. Let’s get this over with. It’s staggering to think these versions of Republicans are so tolerant of Russian aggression. How about Chinese aggression? North Korean aggression? Sound ok?

Then, in an announcement that would have prompted loud calls for impeachment of Biden a month ago, Trump said he wouldn’t rule out sending American troops to GAZA, because why not. Trump simply bloviates threats to project his only defense mechanism for his crippling insecurity without any thought of the consequences. MAGA would have started riots had Biden openly toyed with sending American boots to fight Hamas or Russia. But if Trump burps it out, it must be a worthwhile cost? What a nightmare for actual experts in diplomacy. How do you deal with an incompetent American potus playing footsie with a violent dictator?

"Neither Ukrainian nor European representatives were invited"

I've said this before: the Fulvous Flatulence is doing the same thing as the shit he pulled in Afghanistan. Pres Ghani nor any representative of the legitimate government had a seat at the table then, and Zelensky and the Ukrainian government have been similarly cut out. We've all witnessed what happened then, and it didn't turn out so well for America.

Plus, the Mango Malignancy is still claiming he could have fixed the conflict with a perfect, beautiful deal:

> "I could have made a deal for Ukraine," he said. "That would have given them almost all of the land, everything, almost all of the land - and no people would have been killed, and no city would have been demolished." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cd0n5e1pdz9o

* If the Pumpkin Pestilence was referring to when Russia illegally annexed the Crimea, then why didn't he make the deal between Jan 2017 and Jan 2021 when he was in office?

* If he felt it possible *after* Jan 2021, then as a private citizen he was barred from any talks with any foreign leaders by law (not that he gives a fuck about laws).

* Is he that much of an idiot to think that Vladimir Vladimirovich would have given up *any* lands that Russia swallowed because he asked Putin to pull out (something Papa Fred should have done)?

The last is a rhetorical question; he's cunning and manipulative, but smart? No, he has ganglia instead of brains.

"Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America...."

Think of it, a grifter, a successful Carney, talked enough voters into giving him a second term (when he shouldn't have had even one term).

-----

"In the meantime, we are successfully negotiating an end to the War with Russia, something all admit only “TRUMP,” and the Trump Administration, can do."

* Once again, the ubiquitous "all" say he is the Chosen One, the only one to bring peace to a troubled world;

* "negotiating an end to the War with Russia" "negotiating an end to Russia's ruthless, unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation" [FIFY];

* Please see above re the most exquisite deal ever made with the Taliban.

"Ukraine has been under martial law since the war started in 2022, and elections have been suspended on account of a third of the population being displaced right now."

Only partially true, and not the main reason. The Ukrainian Constitution prevents elections during times of martial law:

> "Article 83 of the Ukrainian Constitution states that if the term of the Verkhovna Rada expires under martial law, it shall automatically be extended until a new Rada is seated following the end of martial law. Article 19 of Ukraine’s martial law legislation specifically forbids conducting national elections." https://foreignpolicy.com/2023/07/11/ukraine-democracy-wartime-elections-russia-zelensky/

-and-

> "The next parliamentary elections were due in October 2023, and the presidential elections should have been planned for spring 2024. This fact remains incompatible with Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian legislation directly prohibits holding elections under martial law." [dated 08 May 2024] https://war.ukraine.ua/articles/not-sacrificing-democracy-why-ukraine-cannot-hold-elections-under-the-martial-law/

"Zelenskyy’s approval rating is four percent, when in fact is 57 percent, higher than Trump’s has ever been."

The Sociopathic Marigold Swamp Monster is the *only* POTUS -- going back to FDR -- whose approval rating has never passed 50%; his highest was 49%. For reference: the next lowest POTUS' approval rating is for Mr Biden at 63%, then St Ronnie at 68%. Of the remaining twelve, all are at 70% or higher as a high water mark. "Spasibo, Roberts Court!"

The real thanks belongs to Sen McConnell. If he had had the 'nads to make his caucus vote for convicting the Sandstone Snowflake after his attempted autogolpe, the Roberts Court would never have had to roll over and play dead for the MAGA oberster Fuhrer.

So, if I'm to understand this correctly, the "stand your ground" folks who think they ought to be allowed to shoot people for trespassing in your yard ALSO think Ukraine needs to just let Russia have their country?

Put yourself in the position of one of those "stand your ground" sociopaths. Some one steps one foot onto your property, you are terrified, you shoot him dead. Someone one craps all over someone else's property and he makes a lot of noise about it, what do you care? Just tell that someone else to stop making a disturbance.

Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, currently deputy chair of Russia’s security council, praised Trump for calling Volodymyr Zelenskyy a “dictator without elections.” Trump is “200 percent right,” Medvedev posted on X. He added, “If you'd told me just three months ago that these were the words of the U.S. president, I would have laughed out loud.”

Of Medvedev's comments, the Financial Times' Moscow bureau chief, Max Seddon, noted that “Trump is moving to their side so fast they’re struggling to hold back the jubilation.”{HuffPost Updates}
