I was up much too late last night... er, til dawn's early light, watching foreign coverage of the protests... which show a riot breaking out when the cops showed up. I realize it was probably a tiny portion of the city that was involved, but from the foreign media, you'd think the entire city was in rebelliion... which is exactly what Team Trump would like to claim, to justify the kind of reaction you usually associate with small Central American nations. If not a "state of emergency", than what do I call sending troops into the streets, and the people fighting back.

Why are the masked people with no ID or proper authority not being arrested for kidnap, harassment, trespassing, violation of habeus corpus, and presenting weapons in areas that forbid weapons?
B/C American democracy is in free fall, partially due to the rescinding of campaign finance regulations. “Migrant” = A person who travels from one place to another and back again. Can be a migrant worker who is a US citizen or legal resident, or one who is a legal alien on a work visa.
“Illegal” = Referring in this case to an illegal immigrant (without getting into the discussion of whether a person can be “illegal”). While it may be someone who is migratory for work opportunities, it is no more than a subset of the whole “migrant” category. And someone can be an illegal immigrant and have no intention of migrating anywhere.
