Lord Dampnut is such a fucking idiot. I guarantee he got his entire understanding of the oil industry from the opening of "The Beverly Hillbillies". Oil=instant super riches!
So we spend two and a half years rebuilding the oil infrastructure in Venezuela, we then elect someone with a brain in 2028, they return the rights out of common decency and international law, and we've spent N billion dollars helping another country?
I mean, it's not my preferred way of doing international development, and the goal (more oil) isn't really one I support, but it has a kind of elegance, I guess. If you ignore all the "international law" stuff.
Ok, wait a minute: isn’t this oil the “trash oil” all the big oil companies previously told orange moron “hard pass; too expensive; too hard.” Same trash oil? That oil?
I am so sick of this guy. He is constitutionally incapable of just putting his head down and trying to do a decent job. Instead, everything he does has to be the greatest, bigliest thing ever in the history of the world.
This is one seriously high-maintenance president. It's exhausting.
If you really want to go down the rabbit hole , look into the sale of Citgo (used to be called Cities Service) to a vulture capitalist. Citgo, a Houston-based company has refineries in the US Gulf Coast. And, by the way is owned by Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), the Venezuelan national oil company. The purchaser is a major contributor to the GOP. And, also too, was a big supporter of Marco Rubio in 2016.
How very dare Nepal drown and take attention away from donnie?
Such a deliberate provoking. Such arrogance! And so much water wasted! Good clean water which could be better used in California wildfires or hydrating visitors to the National Mall or filling a reflecting pool. The need is clearly there....Nepal must be annexed to the USA also as well.
And if they don't comply a small nuke detonated on a glacier should do the trick.
"the United States had secured a long-term stake in a vast share of Venezuela’s oil fields"
Does anyone know what the devil [the Fulvous Fuckwad] was thinking when he decided to waste taxpayer dollars to prop up a flailing Venezuela? Rhetorical question. Is this how he wants his America First policy to be remembered? Another rhetorical question.
"legally precarious proposal that aims to nudge reluctant energy companies to drill in the risky region"
Nudge to your heart's content Bubba, but that doesn't change the facts that the oil is of low grade and costs more to refine, in a dangerous area, still having to pump it through more dangerous territory to get it to a refinery in VZ then to port to ship or directly to port for refining elsewhere. Big Oil will see a minimal ROI until the chain from underground to the end user is firmly, securely established.
Pres [ShitForBrains], you're an astute businessman, if I came to you and said "Remember the deal you rejected out of hand? Well (pardon the pun), I've added a bit of high fructose corn syrup to try to make a deal a little more palatable but it will still be some time, beaucoup bucks, and remains risky to access cruddy crude. Now you willing to sign on?" would you take it?
I have been bitchin' and kinda shitty all day. I was irritated that my precious napping was going to be interrupted because the guy installing a new window was doing it today. He's actually a really nice guy. He built this cabin by hand from the wood sawn from the property 42 years ago. He's a master timber framer and he and his wife lived here for many years. Their two daughters were born in this cabin. After their second was born the cabin became vacuum shrink wrapped tiny. Paul has been here for 26 years. He and Jack have been good friends forever. After telling you that little slice of history, I'll tell you why I'm an abject fucking loser.
I was irritated at a wonderful man that had abdominal surgery for colon cancer in June. He lost half his colon to fucking cancer. He's hearty and hale now and fully recovered. AND he said his MRI is completely clean. He and Paul are installing the window as I tap this out. I should be the one installing the window and Jack should be in here under a blanket napping. Paul and I had no idea he'd been fighting cancer! This has given me pause and something I will consider before I'm locked and loaded for the rest of my life. This is the second time inside a week the Universe has slapped me upside the head with cancer. First Dolly and now Jack. FUCK CANCER!
Go easy on yourself. Lots of times people with cancer just want to feel normal again and that includes doing what they always did. He might also want to do something good for somebody else after people looking after him.
He's always looking for ways of to do good things for others. He built the gazebo in town for all of us to enjoy. The guy is simply the best. And his talent as a master timber framer is legend. And he's published and there are pictures of this cabin in this book. This is the video his publisher put up on YouTube when Hand Hewn was released.
A very small, remaining cell in his demented brain woke up this week, and decided that maybe even the base is pissed about gas prices and the Grocery. Small brain cell thought a good solution would be to import hamburg from a country that will not be named and then announce that stolen oil from Venezuela will be here soon.
Mid-term problem solved, small brain cell went back to razing the Kennedy Center out of spite, and monitoring all the cases and lawsuits Todd's department is illegally fighting/pursuing on it's behalf.
And it being a small cell, the creature picked the worst options seeing as the hamburg is already being recalled (in TEXAS! and FLORIDA!) and the oil from Venezuela is only good for diesel and not common guzzoline.
Well, listen to this. A new study has found that despite some of the...uh...problems with waymos like that they might drive through police lines or stop abruptly if the power goes out, you are less likely to be injured in an accident if you are in one than if you are in a car with a human driver. That is quite exciting!
There is no “deal”. Just a framework of an agreement most likely. You can’t believe a thing he says.
Lord Dampnut is such a fucking idiot. I guarantee he got his entire understanding of the oil industry from the opening of "The Beverly Hillbillies". Oil=instant super riches!

Yeah. Funny thing, Cuba has the ability to refine it. We blockaded them so they don't have any oil to refine at all.
As noted, imperialism, neo or not, is so HARD. Whine.
I am so sick of this guy. He is constitutionally incapable of just putting his head down and trying to do a decent job. Instead, everything he does has to be the greatest, bigliest thing ever in the history of the world.

We knew all of that from his first term.

Everything is probably interconnected. I mean, I used to think Sarah Kendzior was out there , but now, she’s probably on the mark
Connecting those kinds of dots might arguably be the more important news.
How very dare Nepal drown and take attention away from donnie?

We'd have to get in line behind China, I think.
LESIONS IN LEADERSHIPS!
1) create shortages
2) kill horses
3) find replacement (oil) that will require decades to develop
You left off his mot important steps:
1.5) Profit
2.5) Profit
3.5) Profit
That's Top Secret.
Alejandro Betancourt seems like a real peach. https://www.thetimes.com/world/latin-america/article/venezuelan-oil-man-investigated-overseas-is-key-broker-for-trump-pv0kbjt6m
Yet another Bond villain. Would anyone like to bet that he won't live to age 80 and die of natural causes?
how does he find 'em?
Transnational den of thieves phone tree.
Like attracts like.
self-loathing attracts self-loathing.
So Milo will have to wait 5-10 years before he can legally return to the U.S.? Sad. 😃
doesnt he owe someone hundreds of thousands of $$? What happened to that?
Not if he's got Kristi's blanket . . .

What a filthy fucking shit show.
This is one warped, sadistic and twisted timeline.

Fuck cancer indeed and get that scope done, people!
I'm sorry WC. All my love and a (((HUG))) to you.

May the ghost of Francisco de Miranda haunt the White House.
I was kind of thinking about Dolly Madison in that regard.
I like her snack cakes.
I will always associate the Peanuts TV specials with Dolly Madison snack cakes and Coca-Cola who were always the sponsors when I was a a kid. .
Why you can't get through to a trump supporter. Definitely worth a listen.

That is a profound waste of otherwise useful oxygen.
It’s a fruitless as pointing out Trump’s lies.
