The reason the domes ( at San Onofre ) are so difficult to demo is that there is so much rebar in them. I heard that they had to use concrete breakers (like a giant jack hammer attached to an excavator) and vibrate the concrete loose.

The fucking ballroom has morphed from a "safe" location for large White house events -- most of which won't even come close to reaching maximum capacity -- and where Pres Oh So Light On His Feet can bust a dance move or two (admit it, his dancing would have put James Brown or Michael Jackson to shame) into a key element of the new underground security complex. FWIW, there already is a hardened bunker under the WH and the MAGA oberster Führer was forced to spend about an hour in it in 2020.
