The fact that they’re talking about multiple impeachments tells us two things:
1. It is just about petty payback.
2. They know they don’t have a case for any serious “high crimes and misdemeanors” and don’t expect any of these to be successful.
McCarthy normally has the self-awareness of dryer lint, but he’s right. If republicans spend the next two years just trying to concoct excuses to impeach Biden, it’s going to backfire on them, badly.
Treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors, according to the UMass poll. No specifics given as to what treasonous acts or bribes are in play. Governing while Democrat, probably. Maybe inciting 81 million people to vote for Biden/Harris. If Jim Jordon chairs the House Judiciary Committee, the hearings will probably include a lot of Trump clown lawyers with theories about Ukraine, Hunter Biden, COVID and Fauci, the Acela Corridor, grooming and The Gay Agenda, gun-free zones, harassment of Christian bakers and, I don't know, Hunter Biden's Gay Agenda to harass gun-bearing Christian bakers with COVID lock-down orders. Fear not, Jim will beclown himself in front of actual adult witnesses.
Well, this is awesome, the GOPers will help install the first woman president. Although half the Republican electorate probably think that if Biden were impeached, they'd get to appoint *rump to replace him.
