Well Ruthie, kudos for the crackhead remark. Many demerits for being "undecided".

They're only doing this because their guy got pummeled

No, he won the debate. It was the viewing audience that got pummeled.

Not Ruthie (I don't think) but most were still undecided afterwards. How fucking stupid can people be?

Pretty fucking stupid.

Of course he won the wrestling match! It was for two falls out of three, right?

Huh? "Debate"?

Yeah. Sometimes I feel as if I will never get out among people again. I don't want to be around that kind of stupid

Whelp, one thing I will say again: if rules are changed in an attempt to muzzle Trump, it will NOT be Biden or the American people who will benefit. Removing Biden's ability to push back on Trump's shit in real time benefits only Trump. Biden plays by the rules. Trump won't. Anybody who thinks he will is fucking crazy and stupid.

If the debates continue, no rule or format changes. Let Biden tell Trump once again to shut his lying pie-hole when he gets too obnoxious. Either that or cancel the fucking things.

Debates are publicity stunts to Trump. He will definitely feel motivated to behave far worse than he did on round one. And, yes, he will chew on a voter for asking a question he doesn’t like or can’t answer. It’s an opportunity to call them Dem plants. Trump disrupts. It’s one of his primary functions, and now he thinks it’s not just a matter of getting away with it, but that it’s good for ratings. A muted mic ain’t gonna do shit, unless it also has him located in an isolated room being broadcast remotely and the screen feed can also be cut. Even then, it’s an opportunity to scream about liberal censorship and that ‘they’ are trying to cancel ‘us’.

I see no purpose to rewarding Trump with a round two. He didn’t follow rules he had agreed to in advance. And now he’s telling us he doesn’t like more rules... which he would still break even if he agreed to them. We don’t benefit from joining his circus. Nobody cares about his policy. Biden can hold his own Q & As.

This is the primary reason I’m anti-social, even prior to Covid. I can hermit like a boss and it’s no problem. I just have to ponder upon the quality of my interactions with the general populace. It’s a painful enough recollection that my body recoils, and suddenly I’m happier about staying home.

Is it possible smoother debate would turn more people off Trump?

Ignoring a whole new set of rules making it clear to another 1% of voters that he can't be trusted and must be put down?

change the rules to once again protect Joe Biden from answering to the American people," McDaniel said.

Pretty sure that’s what he was trying to do for 74 of those 90 minutes, lady.

There’s always a chance. I don’t know how many people would need another round as their excuse though, given that he offers new ones daily. If the theory is that every little bit helps, then I suppose it makes sense. But I think that time could be better spent without giving Trump the additional opportunity to be Trump.

Probably not if they are being told by their churches to stay in lockstep while they can’t even hear Biden’s policies and concerns for their futures over the inchoate screeching of the shitflinger-in-Chief.

If they don’t know by now, it might be a better idea to have them do a town hall with Biden, because debates won’t get any better no matter what rules are in place.

One of the first things they teach you doing debate is: NEVER ask a question you don't want to (or don't already) know the answer to.

What’s their threat? Trump will refuse to appear on national TV? When has that ever happened?

Or fine. Don’t show up. Joe will do the town hall by himself.
