He would tell his followers that public housing and medical care for all are good things, and that immigrants contribute more to the country than they cost, and people have a right to live as human beings no matter their race or sex or religion. And they would say “He is so right! He’s been saying this for years! Why are the libs only now listening?!?” And we would nod our heads sadly and tell them how sorry we were for ever doubting him.
