Donald Trump is not about to back down from his comments earlier this week about how Hillary Clinton would not get 5% of the vote were she not carrying the Woman Card™ -- in fact, he's going even further! In an interview on Thursday's Today Show , he doubled down, insisting he was only "stating the obvious" and that “without the woman’s card Hillary would not even be a viable person to run for city council positions.”
True Story - 4 years ago. This happened while sitting in the pilots lounge at a small regional OH airport. I'm older (50's). I have over 1400 hours of military flight time and over 4000 hours of combined flight time. It's a little braggy, I know but I'm proud of what I've been able to do in this predominantly male enclave. OK so back to the story. I was catching a nap and was dozing off when I heard two voices come in and start to "whisper". Passengers were allowed to share the lounge with crew. One of them said no longer in a whisper"Is she going to fly our plane?" the other one said "if she is I'm going to stay on the ground". I sat up, looked at both of them and said you're living in a free country be my guest and walked out. They were on my plane 30 minutes later.
I hear you dude. I've never been so worried/.freaked out about the general election, much less the primaries before. Never. I even campaigned for CO Sen Michael Bennett here in 2010 and wasn't this freaked out. But Bennett's opponent wasn't fucking Evil Incarnate, either. At this rate I'm worried I won't last until November.
Nobody appears to have paid too much attention to his mom. His dad, however, was a not-very-nice man who by all accounts didn't like it a bit that _his_ dad was a small-scale grifter who was evicted from his country for draft dodging and died a failure, leaving his mom (Trump's grandma) to found the real estate fortune.
So (pulling on my armchair psychoanalysis cap) I wonder if Trump's issues with women are about hating his mom as much they are about Trump being desperate for the approval of his father, who had mommy issues.

If I had been there, I would have shaken your hand and said "Congratulations!"
