>>In the end, though, what makes today’s ruling so off-base is the Court’s lack of situational awareness regarding this equitable judgment. It treats the Government’s stay application as if the whole point is merely to demonstrate that the Plaintiff States’ claims are not justiciable. Taking its eye off the ball, the majority misses the Government’s actual objective: to secure our imprimatur for its effort to foment chaos ahead of the November elections.<<

I respectfully disagree. The Trumpanzee Six well knows and fully approves the administration's actual objective, even if they're too chickenshit to say so.
A few years back, I was in a conversation with a former gentleman caller about hiring departments. His observation was, "They've been pushing people around for so long that they have no other methods."

So it is with the dumb shits who appear to be running our foreign policy.
Because they're a hundred, they think it's still 1945, and we're the only nation left standing -- so they're continually surprised when any other country does anything other than grab its ankles and moan, "Thank you, Sir! May I have another?"
No matter how many times, and how disastrously, this is repeated (and by now, it's as predictable as Kabuki theater), they keep going back to that particular well over and over.

Well, you have an incompetent buffoon like this in power because he shares the same bigotries with millions of other Americans. That's why many Americans excuse this constant clownfuckery.
Thus you must outnumber them at the ballot—the only poll that counts.
Murc's Law protects this foul beast, but it isn't invincible. It's just very tough. You have to get to the ballot and turf the unreconstructed Republican Party out of power.
The realistic plan will have to be more people voting for a greater Democratic majority. Also Biden was doing a very good pace in filling vacancies but that did slow down after the shitty midterm.
As for the Supreme Court, the more Dems, the more possibility of getting that done.
"The Supreme Court decision is provisional, focusing only on the argument that U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani acted prematurely in preventing the provisions from being implemented in the 23 states before federal agencies had even drawn up plans for how to implement the executive order.
“The court’s disposition of this application does not mean that any measure taken by the Government to implement the order will necessarily be lawful. On that score, time will tell,” the court said in a the unsigned ruling.
The decision leaves the door open to judges intervening at a later date."
Even aside from the specific fascism enabling bullshit.
What a terrible precedent to set. We can’t stop any of his patently illegal shit until it’s too late. Eventually 5 years after the fact it will turn out that it was proven in court his mail in vote ruling was unconstitutional. Gosh won’t we have egg on our faces then!
i been bitching about how none of this cabinet can stay in their lane (or answer any questions about their specific demesnes) for a minute. i think bessent has been the worst offender since bondi went off about the dow-ow-ow.
Sean Duffy on Canada: "It's a country that doesn't have a military ... they have record high euthanasia rates. And so to think that they're gonna go to war with Donald Trump and actually win that war with the US, I think it's foolish on their part."
As the daughter of someone who spent many, many years in late-stage Alzheimer's, I heartily support the very humane way MAID enables people to die with dignity. Wish we had it.
Our Canadian Support Friends are very happy with the "Buy Canada" trends.
True, they miss bourbon, but I think they'll muddle through.
As long as they have Montreal bagels and Smoke(d) meat, they'll be fine!
I'm not Canadian, but I'm not buying Kentucky bourbon any more. Lots of tequila though.
"Canada has been ripping us off for years"

By not paying protection money to be allowed to continue to exist? ...directly to Dear Leader's pocket, one can only assume.
Everybody's always been ripping Trump off, in his mind.
Trump renaming the Palm Beach airport:

PBI used to be "my airport" .. we lived about 20 minutes from it.
Luckily we moved, so I no longer have to set foot in the place.
Jen promised last week that Rachel would be back tonight. And I hope Chris will be back as well.

This is how empires fall.
I said as much during the administration of Bush II - gradually, then all at once.

If Hungary can do, we need to get hungry . . .

No, they're at home, waiting for us to be shot dead by the tyrannical government.
Maybe having a huge cache of broomsticks was never really about that?
Any 2028 Democratic candidate who doesn’t have a realistic plan to fix the courts has no intention to enact a progressive agenda.
The realistic plan will have to be more people voting for a greater Democratic majority. Also Biden was doing a very good pace in filling vacancies but that did slow down after the shitty midterm.

No intention to create anything but more fundraising, I think. Not the small-dollar kind.

And of course, Trump has no authority for tariffs in the first place, Supreme Court said so.
So, now it's confirmed, no adults, no consequences, Epstein.
When Trump starts sending nuclear warheads around the world, remember, he is so special we should let him . . .
Who care what the SC says, as long as it sides with him. They just awarded him the stupid mail in voting restrictions.
Did Sean Duffy really say [Canada] has 'record high euthanasia rates'?
Whut? Was it the old Emily Litella "youth in Asia" joke"?
Why is the moronic Transportation Secretary speaking to trade issues anyway?
They guy sponsored by Toyota says buy American.

We have MAID, Medical Assistance in Death. He's implying we kill people, we don't.
