Have there been consequences for corrupting the grand jury institution? If not, then the judicial branch has surrendered to fascism just as much as the Republican party. They'll just keep on doing it and worse.
Yeah, there's a case in Chicago that's on that track. The judge allowed the defense to get grand jury transcripts and the DOJ had lied etc. in getting indictments. Last I heard there were going to be hearing on sanctions, attorney's fees...
