It is now standard operating policy of the DOJ to present manufactured, false, and misleading ‘evidence’ to Grand Juries in order to obtain indictments. Consequently, it should now be standard defense tactics to automatically demand transcripts of Grand Jury proceedings involving their clients’ indictments. On the same vein, yesterday a U.S. DOJ case brought by First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli against David Huerta, the president of SEIU West, was dropped. However, it was done with obsequious strings attached. Huerta must be a good boy and stay out of trouble. Which is a bit of a joke, considering that ICE and the DOJ have determined that any opposition to ICE is a criminal act, and Huerta is a staunch defender of immigrant rights.

With Lindsay Graham gone, the Sunday talking head shows are going to have to run a test pattern for an hour.

Clearly, all of Rump's lawyers are seriously out of their depth. Their rush to prosecute someone is leading to sloppy work in hopes that some GOP judge will go, ok. Hell, even THOSE judges are like, please cut the crap. How many cases have they won? Maybe it's 1 but most likely zero. Any lawyer that brought this shit, would be fired from the firm. Maybe Boxwine can take a vacation in rehab and leave us alone.

I wonder if they realize that any trump-directed argument is going to make them look like a moron or if they're too stupid to realize it. Neither is a good choice.

Great assessment! I find them all in contempt!! (The DOJ lawyers, I add parenthetically...)

I remember one of the rare times I got 86d it was a violent thing, almost killed me. Marched me out of the bar at gunpoint and threw me to the sidewalk. And I didn't even do anything wrong. It was Jeanine reaching over the bar and pouring from the bottles when the bar keep wasn't looking!

Meccalopolis's avatar

I've been 86ed from a bar or two. And as a doorman/bouncer I've 86ed numerous drunks and weirdos, like the woman who went around finishing people's drinks. I did not kill them, just put them out and didn't let them back in.

I remember when Jesse Helms passed away. He was a national figure and known internationally for his racist, homophobic bullshit. The press rolled out a similar kind of hagiographic salute to that sack of shit. But, a week or two later, and absolutely no one was mentioning his name ever again. Lindsey's memory will undergo the same fate.
