So when they gonna rebate all us tax payers for the money we sent for FEMA since they are not doling it out?

Oh lol I did a funny! This is all about stealing that money

Johnny Appleseed's avatar

Trump wants a parade he should pay for it our of his own pocket...NOT donor money, NO fundraising. Write the check!

Notorious J.I.M.'s avatar

Or, just keep bleeding the donors dry until the smaller donors start wondering why they aren't getting the bang for the buck.

trump v2 is all about destroying the US fed govt and bureaucracy, thereby destroying the US democracy...they're ALL in on it, from the project 2025 authors to the lowest schmuck on the appointed admin chart...they're all willing useful idiots for putin, if not full-on russian assets, and every fucking one of them needs to be purged from govt, arrested and prosecuted immediately the next time the Ds are in power...a complete de-magafication of the US is in order...crush them forever, or they will be back

Human lives mean nothing to them, neither collectively nor individually.

Their regime will be responsible for the death of thousands, if not millions.

They are despicable and reprehensible.

How many of the MAGAs in federal government have businesses and dwellings in tornado alley or in parts of the USA subject to earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and fires? ALL of them. FAFO is coming

Notorious J.I.M.'s avatar

The next hurricane hitting Florida needs to pass right over Merde A Lardo.

Stranger Than Friction's avatar

Yes--I'd like to see a hurricane drive over mar-a-lago, stall, and then back up over it so it can hit it again.

And nothing of value will have been lost except some government documentation that should have been in the National Archives.

Bet all the gilded ornamentation floats.

Notorious J.I.M.'s avatar

It's not unknown for a hurricane to backtrack a skosh. Or slow down and drench everything. And Merde a Lardo is three feet above sea level, so there's that.

Majordomo Billy Bojangles's avatar

Wait a couple of years and it'll be at sea level.

This whole scenario has tragedy written all over it. Something will happen, people will die because of it, and suddenly the administration will be a UUUGE supporter of FEMA and will rescue it from being destroyed by Democrats, those evil bastards.

And the public will ignore what happened until the next weather event, flood, fire, or earthquake comes along to kill more people.

Rinse and repeat.

I am suddenly having a vision..... something bad happens... people die.... Orange Turd Administration suggests drinking bleach and sticking UV lights up your ass... Oh wait, that is a memory of exactly 5 years ago.

Shit will happen. People will die and he will do not a god dammed thing.

THIS RIGHT HERE.

FEMA has never failed the American people on any level. What kind of reasoning are the Republicans using for saying they have?

Johnny Appleseed's avatar

"reasoning"? Republicans?? They don't need no stinkin reasoning.

"Brownie" kind of rolled off the tongue. "Richardsonie", not so much. Maybe "Dick-son-ie" works better.

High surface temps in the Gulf and Central American Gyre activity means hurricanes will be forming in the Gulf, not the Atlantic. NOAA will be needed this summer. FEMA will be needed this summer. Reality does not give a shit about what some convicted felon or his various thumbs may think. Farmers think they have been screwed over by cheetolini, but most of them are still alive. Nature will turn red of tooth and claw this year, and southern states are in for the worst.

Old Man Yells at Cloud's avatar

When I look at a map showing the states which border on the Gulf of Orange Turd, none of those governors would accept FEMA help anyway cause Soodshuisms for government to step in when things go "wet side up" or "blue side down" depending on your favorite mode of transportation.

Farmers may think they have been screwed but most will still vote republicon in 2 years because "What? Vote for a Democrat?".

Resource NW's avatar

Wait, you mean they will never learn? Color me shocked. Well, not too shocked. Well, really not shocked at all.

This article completely missed Donald Trump's 6D chess move. Richardson's nuclear weapons background paves the way to implementing Trump's brilliant "nuke 'em" hurricane prevention program. And who knows? Once the proof of concept is established it could be extended to tornado mitigation in the mid-west.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

"Sharknado 11. Now with noo-cular sharks!"

Bruce's avatar

"In an ironic twist, the Trump Administration's insane plane to 'nuke the tornadoes' resulted in a swath of multigegaton nuclear explosions in a huge portion of the United States, resulting in a nuclear winter that, aside from killing billions, greatly ameliorated the advance of global warming by reducing CO2 emissions by orders of magnitude as huan civilization collapsed into small bands of humans fighting to stay alive as a hunter-gatherer society. It's nearing 5 pm on Friday - the weeks bad news couldn't have gotten worse until i read this - 14 hours a day of MSNBC wasn't enough to be made aware of this absurdity. It's particularly depressing, both because it's so stupid and unfeeling (the new government action standard) and because nobody's even talking about it. We're in a whole new world of trouble...as a country.

Respect for the associated mission statement and an iota of functional experience regarding the specific position are VERBOTEN within the Fetid Fascist's fiercely authoritarian misadministration. An ideal Drumpfuckian appointee is an utter and absolute greenhorn regarding their new position and may therefore be *carefully mentored by dedicated Drumpfuckian associates to ease and enlighten them throughout their transition and subsequently molded into their new position.

*,,,compel their abject subordination to the Fetid Fascist

It somehow feels to me very well of course it is that one of the Soviets’ failed Venus landers (or a large part of it) is finally coming down over the most populated latitudes of the planet late this evening, or sometime tomorrow. And that we don’t really know, of course, otherwise quite where.

The odds that it will actually hurt anyone are very slight but not quite zero. It was built, thing is, to go through the atmosphere of Venus. So ours, really, not much of an obstacle.

But it’s like this whole fucking mess is just a hangover from then. Stuff we never quite settled. And a horrific police state built this thing. Far from the worst thing they built (one of the better, really, though never mind many of the people building the rockets and the instruments and other support bits were often little better than slaves). Anyway, here it is, returning. It circled around all those decades, mostly forgotten, until now.

And the asshole the heir of that horror of a system promoted to bring down his rival is ripping apart one more emergency preparedness system. Of course it’s also raining metal.

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

OK, I'm firmly on Team Giant Meteor ... but I could be convinced to switch to Team Russian Kamikaze Lander in a pinch.

In a Stalin biogoraphy I read the author said that some groups of scientists were kept in something akin to research gulags. They were locked up and forced to do their science-y stuff for the leader.

Yep.

Solzhenitsyn’s ‘In The First Circle’ was about this. Those depicted a little better off than in other prisons. But still a prison.
