Ta, Evan. I'd best say nothing.

I have been unable to read anything about this because for some reason it makes me even madder than SCOTUS la-la-la-ing the immunity case or “Judge” Cannon’s shenanigans. But at least we’ll always have our 34 felony convictions.

Or another way to frame it: Trump would be facing justice in Georgia today if a certain prosecutor hadn't had a brain-melting lapse in judgement. You only get one shot with these things.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Because Trump's lawyers wouldn't have found another bullshit motion to file that would have ended up right in front of the same judges who'd be ruling on that motion in the exact same timeframe?

Right?

I wish we on the left would /stop feeding the narrative of the right.

Republicans are like that bully who is stunned when they get punched. These Republicans need to be punched. Good people of Georgia who vote R? Ask yourself why.

calliecallie, aka pollyanna's avatar

The only possible upside to this is that it will motivate Georgia Dem voters to get to the polls in November.

Runfastandwin's avatar

jebus h pete can she appeal?

Pilgrim's avatar

Not unless you can think of a Federal Question

Runfastandwin's avatar

I guess but hasn't CF tangeranus pretty much obliterated that question? And, the federal courts are taking him seriously, so why not try?

So the trial will take place after Donnie's humiliating loss in November. How many of these Republicans will be rushing to his defense once he's proven to be a massive loser?

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

The big question is will Donnie have access to the RNC piggy bank after another massive loss?

That's when the bullshit delaying tactics stop.

BeachLoafer's avatar

He's already been proven to be a massive loser, whether on the ballot or just fondling it through endorsements - it's going to be interesting to see whether any of them finally wise up after he loses yet another election for them.

Some day they'll get off the trump wagon, but whether it's after another loss or not until he's dead remains to be seen.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

He'll announce for '28 on January 21, 2025. It's the only way he can keep up the political persecution storyline.

Satanic Pancake's avatar

The EC better not somehow fucking get him a win.

Buz 13's avatar

It’s cool. Liberals can go wild in the streets too. Jus sayin’.

I got nothing that doesn't involve blaming Lincoln for not doing what absolutely needed to be done.

it's not hard. reverse the roles to white guy with girlfriend and see if you're still freaking out.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

The complaints against Willis's judgment is that there was a level of superior perfection she could have attained to prevent the defense from having a single avenue to get an appeal before a friendly appellate court.

It's victim-blaming.

Enter Ranting's avatar

White MARRIED guy with a girlfriend.

Sojourner Truth's avatar

Hmmm. Let me see if I can think of such an example...

wait...

it's a toughie...

Bagels of Doom's avatar

a true brain teaser, isn't it?

Sue's avatar

And the stupid MFs hot takes blaming Willis can all go to hell.

March 25 will be just in time for the necessary next wave of criminal election ratf*cking prosecutions. And you know it will be worse and more egregious.

tehbaddr's avatar

If you want a picture of the future, imagine one party ratfucking elections — for ever.

Mark Linimon's avatar

Oh you think there will still be *elections* .

This might be the last!

I ... don't even know what else to say about the fact that Rachel saw this coming at least two weeks ago

and that basically this is the White GA establishment ganging up on one Black woman to protect ... convicted felon and career wanna-be gangster Donald Trump of all people

Fun fact: the most common misread my gesture based online keyboard has for ‘Bannon’ is ‘baboon’...

... so, you know, not ruling out the possibility it has become spontaneously sentient.

I guess this might be a little unfair to baboons.

I hear he’s going to prison. Was it the crimes against scriptwriting, the crimes against fashion, or the crimes against hygiene? So far as I can work out attempting a kleptofascist takeover is now legal if you’re an ugly whiteish wart of a human being.

They sell thermals at the commissary. Baboon will have to get by with the max allowed two shirts.

OT: The Noise Machine is desperately trying to equate Hunters legal perils with trump's. If not more worser. They aren't "drug related" charges.

Good. It'll hurt all the more when the rigged jury finds him not guilty.

From what the dame said, Hunter was smoking crack every 20 minutes, then using his ginormous COKED UP HOG on her!
