It's hard to understand such a perfect track record, but Trump has not done one single thing in his second term which has benefited anyone other than himself, his family and close associates. Nothing, zero, nada!!

"Seemingly". Well then, I guess Assface "seemingly" incited a riot on January 6.

If there was ever a more appropriate use of the phrase "unimpeachable character" for someone like Jack Smith, lay it on me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, who writes these things? "Willfully" 𝑎𝑛𝑑 "intentionally"? They mean the same thing, just use one or the other. What, was "deliberately" unavailable or subject to permission of use?

July 22, 2026 Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) referred former Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Department of Justice for criminal prosecution after Smith seemingly made willfully and intentionally false statements during his December 17, 2025, deposition.

Is a jury going to even read any of that before they vote to acquit?

"He said I suck!"

"No, that was factual."

They made up the world cup champions rings this year just so Donny 'Not Even a Little Bit' Trump had a gold ring to steal so he would feel like his personal hero Vladimir Putin (or Hitler, both love stealing gold)

Looked at this story like six times today because super busy at work and just THIS SEVENTH TIME I noticed the lamp in the hed image.

well done Dok.... slid that one in there nice and smooth... :)

“You used all the glue on purpose! Not a finger!”

Tappin Lisa's avatar

wait... is that lamp behind Trump and FIFA guy really part of the picture?

JanuaryClaire's avatar

That's Dok showing off his skills!

Martin Shobe's avatar

Highly unlikely. It's from A Christmas Story, where the protagonist's father wins "a major award" from some newspaper contest.

Just stopping in to notice the lamp in the head pic.

Goes a long way toward explaining Trump's view of women. Just sayin'.

What a worthless stool.

Reading the part about résumé fluffing was an instant nostalgia trip for me, because a long ago boyfriend and I in Hong Kong had this running gag between us where we’d try to come up with the most impressive work experience possible without saying it was McDonald’s. We’d rhyme it off and try to add to it whenever we walked past one. I think we ended up with something like “I work in Central, at a leading Fortune 500 Company, in a client facing role, responsible for both logistical and quality assurance execution that both adheres to and enhances global brand performance. In my role, I manage significant cash flow volumes on a minute by minute basis and consistently over-achieve key performance measurement indicators and have generated meaningful repeat business in correlation to strong performance and reliability of my total client satisfaction management”.

Y'all left out "synergy" and "paradigm shifts" but otherwise, nominal.

Uristthedwarf's avatar

Synergy and paradigms are only for C-suite applications, this one is clearly middle management material

Infantino is asking for an FBI investigation come 2029.

Cincinnatus's avatar

Based on who Trump nominates to head agencies, he obviously isn't serious about such an appointment. There's no indication Infantino hates the U.N.'s mission.

Speaking of Senator Potatotown, he was the ol’ ball coach at my Alma mater, Texas Tech, for a short time. Now Lubbock is as conservative as any place anywhere, but the good citizens pretty much unanimously HATED THAT MOTHERFUCKER by the time he slunk outta town.

At the sleep study last night I was watching an old Western movie, from 1954. It was about an earnest and unappealing little boy that worried his Pa was becoming an outlaw.

If you know the phenomena of "Kenny"s from Godzilla movies, that was sort of what this was but with sixguns.

GrumperDem's avatar

I’m only familiar with the “Kenny’s” thanks to mystery science theater 3000.

Emerson respected poll . And the important thing to remember is this is a poll of likely voters not registered voters as mentioned before Republicans tend to do better on poles of all registered voters, but likely voters is the money shot.

Democrats hold 11-point lead over GOP on generic ballot.

It’s one of the reasons to not run scared in primaries and support candidates with the best policy proposals, not the superficially least objectionable.

There’s a real chance to grab legislative power and I don’t want candidates who promise to limply hold it for two years and do nothing with it before handing it back to the fascists

GrumperDem's avatar

In this country politicians are serving at the mercy of the economy.

No matter what good policies, decent public service, employees, prepare, and pass and enforce… if the American voter doesn’t feel they have enough money at the end of the month they will throw the bums out.

Happily the economy is doing bad enough that fascist are feeling the heat and could be overthrown. But to me, it’s hardly comfort, knowing that voters will happily go along with fascist as long as voters are making money.

No Quid Bro Code's avatar

A proviso: “best policy proposals” does not mean “most outlandish promises with no realistic plan on how to achieve them.” Otherwise, no notes.

Land Shark 🇺🇦 🏳️‍⚧️'s avatar

Give me a list ... start with the ones that will affect the republic quickest and are needed NOW. We can work on the rest once the fascists are out.

Kid 'n Nipple-Play's avatar

That only reflects reality-based polling. If you take into account all of the imaginary voters and numbers and hamberders in Trump's head, GOP candidates are ahead by at least 70 pizzas.

Malaysia's Minister of Religious Affairs has sparked international backlash for claiming too much work 'turns you gay'.

He believes that severe overwork and stress leads you toward an "LGBTQ+ lifestyle".

Bear is Under-Cubbed's avatar

You've got the causality backwards, dear Minister. Teh Ghey led Bear to Teh Overwork, in order to purchase an urban den.

Kirsty Gnome #squattor's avatar

Here I thought all overwork and stress got you was alcoholism.

Kid 'n Nipple-Play's avatar

So maybe our government should listen and implement a 24 hour work week since they're so anti-LGBTQ+. It'd be cheaper than the new "testosterone for all" plan.

Georgiaburning's avatar

So bosses and HR departments may be considered “groomers”?

AgathaCrispy_Tart With a Heart's avatar

I would say no, because I am gay due to being gay. No one groomed me to “turn gay”. That’s not how it works.

Bear is Under-Cubbed's avatar

Being gay means you appreciate a nice, taut...OLOGY!

42tontom's avatar

But but the troglodytes have deeply held beliefs!

Mysterysurf's avatar

All work and no play makes Jack gay?
