Ta, Brooke. Please, everyone, check your registration, have a plan, and carry through with it. If you can, vote early in person. If you're in a vote by mail state, know where the dropboxes are and use them. Do NOT trust USPS with your precious ballot (unless you're voting from overseas or Mexico or Canada). This is, indeed, the most important election of our lives. Let's make it count, and that requires all of us. When we vote, we WIN!!

I can't figure out if our taxpayer dollars going to people babysitting the sad moldy Cheeto is a good thing or a bad one.

The idea that all of GOP land is sad though, that's some good stuff right there

Lance Thrustwell's avatar

So Trump's going back on the trail, eh? What a trouper. I'm voting all Republican now!

Warren's avatar

Maybe he can sing “Oh we got trouble, right here in River City, with a capital T and that rhymes with D and that stands for Dems!”

Aileen's avatar

I like it especially when he talks about how he doesn't care if gas prices high are because "we" are making billions off it. And even his most fervent cult members are beginning to figure out there's no average Americans in the "we" he's referring to.

"Trump aide Natalie] Harp, for one, has moved into a private dining room adjacent to the Oval Office..."

Wait a minute, I'd like more info on this arrangement. Is she using the dining room as an office? Or as an apartment? Did they set up a cot for her?

It seems like the GOP is going to let him tank himself so they have an out-as if we won't remember what they've done- but you'd think they would see the writing on the wall and divest themselves actively, by helping all of us divest ourselves of him

That would presume rational thinking though, and I've seen far more courage from my neighborhood chickens, as they chase out the red-shoulder hawk that's been stalking them.

paperlesstiger's avatar

They get death threats if they don't praise Trump enough.

Nicole Koretsky's avatar

And you'd have thought that the first time it happened in 2016 they would have rethought their base audience, but what do I know, I'm just a normal, patriotic liberal, not a craven, megalomaniac power-whore. 🤷‍♀️

Bill Pulte is 37?! I'm 53 and genuinely thought he was my age. It's not fair to compare because I look great, but still. Evil ages people.

ciaobella's avatar

It’s not aging Trump quickly enough. (To the ultimate conclusion of aging, that is.)

It is unbelievable gorgeous sunny and crisp and mild here. My abdomen is still tweaked. (getting better though. going to go for a little bike ride with TerseGirlfriend)

I'm getting ready for my first-ever round of ablation.

My affairs are in order.

Zyxomma's avatar

Your affairs are in order. Of course, that means you voted early. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

EyeQueue's avatar

Sending healing vibes!

Hops: grrr mad's avatar

Good luck! Ablation might be in my future as well, at some point. In the mean time, amiodarone is keeping things ticking along calmly.

TerseNurse's avatar

Good luck buddy, I trust it will all go smoothly. Check in when done. You have my number if you need anything

Fun fact: This was all the idea of She Who Now Thinks I'm A Jerk™.

I put it off for a few years, actually, despite her urging.

It would be good if she heard I'm finally doing it. Lol.

Lance Thrustwell's avatar

Here's to a successful procedure and a speedy recovery!

Adult beverages are in the fridge, awaiting my return.

I'm sure getting nerves burned without sedation will be fun.

I will be a ridic amount of Valium, at least...

SkeptiKC's avatar

Just be gentle with yourself until you've entirely recovered, comrade.

I keep forgetting to get one. She has meds I can give her but they upset her stomach so I'm putting it off for as long as I can.

wtf??

MSNOW has an article up: "We all know what Obama’s Cheesecake Factory joke was really about" with the tagline: "Obama’s joke was a sophisticated way of calling Trump authoritarian, wasteful and tacky."

.

Is there some confusion or question about what Obama's joke was about? Are you really taking the right wing troll bait about 'insult to Cheesecake Factory and middle-class Americans'? I didn't bother to read the article – maybe just the headline is fucking stupid?

Lance Thrustwell's avatar

Pfft. What it was *really* about was a coded communication to the Deep State and Lizard People overlords.

SkeptiKC's avatar

This reactive hysteria is all that these red reprobates have to work with.

It is damned satisfying to watch them throttle themselves sideways.

EyeQueue's avatar

They have to explain this because the public are such drooling pea-brained morons now.

paperlesstiger's avatar

They made a whole political movement out of a few snarky jokes that Ronald Reagan made. Government is the problem, blah, blah, blah.

As of 10 minutes ago Trump got an enema and has decided he’s back on the campaign trail.

Caepan's avatar

TACO is so full of shit that if he DID get an enema, he'd disappear.

EyeQueue's avatar

What in the fuck is happening?

LOU LOU's avatar

Right? We’ll get through this, maybe sooner than we thought. I wish I had more faith.

That piece says that, in addition to going to Kansas and Iowa after all, Trump is going to do 20 "tele-rallies". One has to wonder what is the definition of a "tele-rally". As it is, I wonder if there's any way to determine how many of his followers these "tele-rallies" actually reach.

I mean, how many people can tune into Zoom?

Also, too - how much do these "tele-rallies" cost - and where are the campaign funds for them actually going?

Kansas.

Go back 1 year and tell people that it would be so close in Kansas that Trump will have to uncancel rallies that he cancelled because his heart might explode.

Kansas.

I don't know if I'd stop drinking after Tuesday or switch to LSD.
