HOSTILE to conservatism? Xenophobia, racism, and misogyny are the core values of the GOP.
The essence of conservatism is "fuck you, I've got mine." That's fine if that's a person's world view, but all the evidence shows that we do better as a nation when everybody does well, not just the wealthy.

The DMN is liberal? I just felt my brain explode. There is no question that the urban areas of Texas lean Democrat...which is why my congressional district takes in a sliver of urban Dallas and goes all the way to Tyler but the DMN has been reliably in the conservative pocket. I think that conservative Texas business people find Trump too open about how shady the business world is and how easily the oligarchy in this country rule political life...oh, and Trump is the douchiest candidate ever.
When I hear someone as stupid as her talk, I cringe and change the channel. I think somewhere deep down, I'm afraid stupid is contagious, since there are so many stupid people in the world.
