I do a lot of sim work with Paramedics and EMTs. If they last more than a few years, and a lot of them don't for various reasons, they're a special breed. Their commitment to their communities is bone-deep and their compassion is boundless. I've learned a few advanced lifesaving techniques from them that I can use for Search and Rescue.
