Hodges, it's likely a lower court could be required to uphold the ruling and a case challenging Obergefell would be hard to push to the Supreme Court. It's incredibly rare for a case originating from lower state courts to make it to the federal Supreme Court.

I'm willing to give Nancy the benefit of the doubt that she is employing an election tactic. Having the Democratic leadership say impeach now serves no good. It just riles up the Trump-panys. So she and Chuck are right to down play it -- to say there needs to be legal evidence of wrong doing before there can be any impeachment hearings. Let Mueller do his job.
Its also good for Waters and Ocasio-Cortez to rabble rouse to keep their constituency riled up and excited to vote.
After Nov its another story and Nancy should step aside and not be Speaker if the Democrats take the house.
