Since we now have 1000 sick people we only have to double 5 times before we run out of respirators. That nice Governor of Washington state said it was doubling every day. Italy is showing a doubling every two days. The world average for doubling time is about 5 days. So between 5 and 25 days before we run out of the stockpile of respirators. There are about 60000 breathing machines and about half them are already in use.

"Several House Democrats also pointed out that a payroll tax wouldn't do a thing to help those who'd be hit hardest by an economic downturn. Rep. Don Beyer (D-Virginia) said it would make more sense to get money straight into the hands of people whose jobs are affected the most, because for folks who are just getting by, a payroll tax cut doesn't amount to much" YES and gig workers and disabled people who supplement their small Social Security, you can earn less than $1,220 per mo. on disability with small jobs. Don't let these people get shut out.
