Yes. They do hand counts of all "Voter Cards", a card every voter gets when they check in to vote. Those MUST match with the number of ballots. And those MUST match with the number the machines say were taken. Then there are the actual hand counts of various races in various precincts. They MUST match with what the machines say. It's really quite stunning the efforts they go to in order to insure there is no fraud/miscounts/mistakes.
If it was happening where I could have this occur, my response is this. Purchase a massive 14" floppy dong. Drape it out of my fly and let it casually flop around as I walk up and dare them to film me. Grab the head and wave it at them, 'There is a penile code in the State!'.
