A grand total of 110,000 of the 752,000 GOP registered voters participated in the GOP caucus in Iowa. Hair Fuhrer got around 56,000 votes, which is pretty pathetic.

It’s always just astounding when Faux News refers to “mainstream media.” They are literally the most-watched single “news” source in the country. How does that not make them the epitome of “mainstream?” And more importantly, why are their cultist so fucking stupid as to not see how they are being played?!?

“U.S. Media refusing to carry Trump speech live last night after a historic Iowa victory is exactly how undemocratic regimes abroad use state run media..."

It wasn't "state-run" media who cut away, genius. So it's kind of exactly NOT "how undemocratic regimes abroad use state run media."

I’m almost convinced that if Congress could vote anonymously to bar Trump from running again, they’d pass the resolution. Even the GOP despise Trump, save for maybe a handful of the really deplorable ones. The only reason they would fear even an anonymous expulsion is they might all be attacked by the maga mob. It’s a very abusive, toxic relationship they have with their base. They fear the far right, and they toe the line to appease them. Classic abusive behavior - “as long as you do what we want, we won’t hurt you. Don’t make us hurt you.” #freethegop

A short primer on freedom of the press for the press (this means you, Stephen Robinson);

The press gets to print or broadcast whatever the hell it wants. No one loses a "license" because they don't print or broadcast what Donald Trump, or Joe Biden, or anyone else, wants them to.

That is all, but it would be good for the press to print or broadcast that little statement whenever anyone (like Donald Trump or the Washington General-like opposition) says shit like this.

MAGA has the GOP by their cowardly, shriveled balls. Had they taken the exit route hand-delivered on a silver platter in the J6 impeachment, they would have a new candidate, probably Haley or DeSantis. So Trump didn’t “win” anything, except the sad reaffirmation that his party is a lost cause. And the media should never air another moment of his hateful lies.

MSNBC is a cable channel, not on the “public airwaves,” isn’t that right? They can show reruns of Modern Family if they want to. None of the cable networks are under any obligation except to their shareholders.

In the same way that Rupert Murdoch let the Fox (over-the-air) network broadcast shows that skew left-wing

“ This is textbook malignant narcissism, by the way: He can’t enjoy his success because he constantly feels others have wronged him“

The his statement could apply to much of the Republican base as a whole. Rightwingers have a strange way of labeling things censorship. He has Truth Social. He can post his speech in its entirety there. Or go to OANN or Newsmax. Trump is pissed because the big networks aren’t hanging onto his every word. He thrives on attention like most of us do oxygen. Good or bad, he could give a fuck as long as we’re paying attention. He’s a child who needed to be spanked a lot when he was younger.

He doesn’t want to be covered by OANN or Newsmax. He is desperate to be liked by the cool kids, the mainstream networks, CNN, NBC. It’s the same reason he wouldn’t be caught socializing with his brain dead supporters in any other context. He holds them in utter contempt. He doesn’t want to belong to any club that would have him as a member. It’s been the paradox of his whole pathetic life. An outer borough spoiled rich kid desperate to be embraced by the establishment Manhattan elite. He will never be happy no matter what successes he claims. And at least we can take comfort in that.

As an adolescent punk, he actually clocked one of his teachers. Rather than straighten his ass out at home, his parents shipped him off to ‘military academy’, aka rich folks’ reform school. Apparently it didn’t take, primarily because they followed up by buying his way into a good college and handing him a gazillion as seed money. They created the monster; for the next 50+ years, the rest of the world has indulged and enabled him. Voila - Peck’s bad boy, out to destroy life as we know it.

I have been a teacher for 30 years, any teacher has a right to defend themselves. I have never had a kid physically attack me (4 years teaching in adult corrections, 6 years in juvenile lockup, the rest in alt-ed and special ed), but I know how to establish relationships such that it does not happen. But I would have no compunction (not disability) about employing an appropriate level of violence to stop the same against me or other people at school.

When I’m Cheeto’s judge in the next life: “Mr. Trump, over my 30+ years on the bench, I’ve seen jokers much smarter than you try to pull these stunts - so here’s the deal…Every time you talk out of turn, both you and your lawyer, Ms. Hubba-Hubba, will be charged $5000, payable at the end of each day’s proceeding. At the end of trial, these funds will be earmarked for county’s victim and witness protection program.
