I have admitted, I was curious about the "birther" scenario for a long time, simply for the legal questions raised. When the hypothetical story is compared with what could be independently known about the whereabouts of both parents, they had absolutely nothing.
I was ready to add, the only basis for the "controversy" around Omar is the claim that one of her ex husbands was actually a biological sibling who married so he could apply for citizenship. Which would actually make sense, if and only if the family had lost all documentation to prove they were siblings.
