After a lovely drive through the back roads of Sullivan, Ulster, and Delaware counties, we lunched on our beautiful Sea Island red peas with boletes and chard over Charleston Gold whole rice, with a side of perfect cornbread. Then we picked up the dogs, and are now relaxing at the pied-à-nuage. Before leaving Bethel Woods, we visited the Woodstock museum. (We were 42 minutes late for free admission, but got a discount large enough that we bought tickets). It's small, and we didn't watch any of the films, but it is much better organized than the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame we visited while in Cleveland. Brandi Carlile and her wonderful band gave a superb show, including a stellar rendition of The Joke, which I hope sincerely some D uses as a campaign song. We're both tired so we're going to nap.
Centrists have been partying hard since their establishment champion defeated Francesca Wong by a razor-thin margin, but those damn socialist kids just keep popping up all over the ding-dang place. When will they sit down, shut up and learn to love the bleak future Wall Street and AIPAC have decreed for them? Let's hope never!
