My mother is a fan of Buddhism, and I've always thought it was a great philosophy. Maybe some day I'll have the time to actually check it out.

I met a woman yesterday who was so happy, I was dying to ask her what her secret was.

buddhisim is not for everyone. i don't consider myself a buddhist. just someone who has read the writings of the buddha, and was set on a path towards enlightenment. the wheel of life, death and rebirth is a little too much for me to believe in, but unattatchment, is a useful skill to practice.

I remember those days, and I'm not going to lie, they were fun. I remember my dad smoking in the hospital, and the doctors smoking in the hospital. Everyone was drunk as hell when they drove, also, too. Plus good speed was legal, and everyone did it. The 1960s were fun, if you lived through them.

I find it mildly amusing that people still think that with a government totally in the hands of the Republican party, that they can force the rich to act fairly or even share power. That kind of thinking is sooo Teddy Roosevelt.
