They would be if they were decent people. But they're not, deep down, so they go with hatred and anger.

It is actually their own. The Red states are by far the most economically troubled, and the most dependent on Medicare, Medicaid, and the ACA. So there will be justice in the end, it'll just take a while.

We cope, I guess. The filthy old Kochs have blown up the whole country now, the way they blew up Kansas, and what took a decade or so to destroy will take generations to rebuild, and some of the damage will never be undone, particularly since the mad tech billionaire Robert Mercer has shown up to salt the earth that the Kochs have scorched. Meanwhile Mad Donald's deranged policies are setting us even further behind in a complex, competitive global economy, but that's okay, because the super-rich don't appear to be paying any kind of a price at all, and just so's they're happy, I guess all's well. Besides, Kim Jung Un appears to be on track to nuke Hawaii or the West Coast or something sooner rather than later, and Steve Bannon's whole White Man's Internationale is on the march, with armed old white boys across the US of A finding their trigger fingers gettin' mighty itchy, and just waiting for a word from the White House to make America great again, bang-bang.

Fuck all.

Don't be silly, we'd blow NK to kingdom come long before they got a nuke off the ground, damn the South Koreans (and Chinese, and Japanese, and ...)

It is truly a labor of hate to go to Phoenix, but the chance to deface McCain's grave is not to be taken lightly. I'll drink a shitload of beer beforehand and pee enough for all of us.

Christianity was SUPPOSED to be a religion of the underdog. We ended up in the crapsack universe after it became the state religion of the Empire.

Debate happens under regular order. This was a vote to continue discussion outside of regular order. The "debate" mentioned will be nothing more than vote haggling amongst Republicans who still hope to get their shitty healthcare ideas to the President's desk before August. https://www.indivisibleguid...

Uninsured people don't pay their medical bills. Hospitals that serve too many uninsured people eventually close. Rural hospitals are major employers for their communities. When they close unemployment goes up bigly. Property values drop. Local businesses go out of business. Hospitals support many non profits like Meals on Wheels, hospice programs, and homeless shelters. All that goes away when a rural hospital closes.

Your happy solution of red states coming apart financially comes with a bonus of rampant organized crime. Because that is what happens when a community cannot provide for the basic needs of its citizens. Organized crime doesn't stay in one place.

It's not a "happy solution," obviously.
