More than just 'a little it' I'm afraid.

The trouble with oligarchs: they realize that 'their kind of people' are not their countrymen, their fellow citizens, their workers and customers and neighbors-- but other oligarchs, wherever they live.

Or perhaps the money reaches a critical mass and becomes purposive, or even sentient, and itself does the realizing, infecting the host, making his behavior oligarchical, working toward his eventual doom even as the money multiplies and causes the death of the host like wasp larvae bursting out of a spider. Worms, fungi, and protozoans can do that; why not great sums of money?

Ed Rogers and the lobbying company he works with represent lots of foreign companies and U.S. corporations. In addition to Ukraine, they represent the corrupt government of Kazakhstan and cruise missile maker Raytheon. He was associated with Lee Atwater, and his wife, Edwina, is a lobbyist for conservative causes. His op eds are so blatantly sycophantic that comments always run at least ten to one calling him a Trump ass kisser. And he NEVER reveals any conflict of interest in his columns.

Just proof that FSM has better things to do than smite the wicked with his noodly appendage.

The only need anyone would have for Google Maps in Jersey City would be to escape. So yeah, this is pretty tragic.

In a year or few, we can reinvent civilization. Maybe do a better job.

Yeah, I know that. I just didn't want to "overstate" my position. Probably couldn't be done, the excesses of the GOP has resulted in my tendency to be less dramatic.

It strikes me as pure pragmatism on the part of the Ukraine. The chances that they will ever get the money back from Manafort and the guy in Russia..zilch...the actual possibility of getting anti-tank guns....100%. Plus they have no dog in this fight. They don’t care wtf happens to Dolt45 and company. They want no part of the constitutional crisis we are having and they don’t want to piss off a nutjob like Dolt45. So it was a win-win strategy for them.

Assuming there's anything left to start with.

Put them on freshly made french fries. Add gravy. And bacon, if you want.
