I already thought that they would have continued to try to set up such a line, no reason to stop trying just because your first 3-5 attempts got found out.
I also think at some point intel would decide to let them, so they could monitor it. Must be some explosive stuff.
If it comes out that there was ongoing direction from Putin that Trump and others followed, seriously, game over. If that didn’t cause a majority of congress and the supreme court to declare the admin illegitimate and disband them, then I think a military intervention would be appropriate. Because when you get invaded by foreign powers, you fight back.
