Always remember the wide deference to the champions of the unreconstructed in the political and legal systems. This is fine.

Trump just canonized his criminals and called it grace.

The thieves of democracy now walk free, baptized in corruption and blessed by power.

It’s funny how the same people who quote “Let justice roll down like waters” always build dams.

I look at this as the sign of the end of his presidency. It's his last gasp before being removed from power - pardon EVERYONE... he's digging out old loyalists now, and I am expecting pardons for his extended family, sitting cabinet and Maxwell's pardon is coming soon, too. I am sure that Vance has a pardon ready to go for Trump on his first day, as well.

Ta, Marcie. I remember many but not AOT, K. Then again, I'm not Liz Dye. We are truly in the upside down.

It's a message to others that he'll bail you out.

Does being pardoned by Trump "re-bar" all those lawyers who got disbarred?

The Donald probably thinks that it does.

( Not that they'd add much structural integrity to any cement they were cast into... )

Giuliani is already trying to get reinstated. He is utterly corrupted and hopes to corrupt those that can reinstate his ability to practice law.

Just for grinsies(?) here's another one. Apparently it's good for the USA to roll coal again...

TL:DR - pulling emission control equipment from diesel trucks (and not intercontinental semis - these are show-off bro-dozer trucks) is okay(?) now. Guy did it, got caught, got convicted - and got pardoned.

Trump by this time must be nearing 2000 pardons in just his first year in prison, I mean as President. This is clearly a record and an embarassment for a "Law and Order" President. By now he has pretty much emptied all the prisons of white people.

Meh, considering the Biden administration didn’t even bother to pursue any federal charges against them and told the states “Do it yourself”, I’m not going to get too worked up about Trump pardoning them.

“But our system is slow and deliberate, because we would rather have a hundred guilty people run free than one guilty person go to prison, something something.”

Only applies to the wealthy who can afford endless legal representation to file motion after motion to keep trials dragging on.

Everyone else will probably be convicted, whether guilty or innocent.

I think the flurry of pardons and commutations are all designed to smokescreen what he intends to do for Ghislane Maxwell. Flooding the zone with shit.
