Can somebody explain to me why all these candidates have to kiss TFG's ass/ring/taint/whatever to actually be a viable candidate? Is this just that cult mentality on steroids? I don't remember previous candidates having to get a Bush's approval or endorsement to win. Am I wrong about that?

Right out of the Abuser’s Playbook.

So Vance's check was the first to clear? I can't wait for the day when candidates pay TFG not to endorse them.

The GOP is morphing into a full-on cult rather than a political party, so the rules have changed a bit.

Imagine you are sixteen hours into a long, sweaty day doing nothing but sitting and sweating and eating hamburgers. You're a little large to properly wipe, and don't have the bladder control you used to. You're an egomaniac, and secretly incredibly unsure of yourself, so the aforementioned sweat has an acrid nervous sweat odor to it, as well as the ever-present smell of processed meat and tanning products. Your only activity, beyond eating, is occasionally wandering the halls and dining rooms of your golf club, where you rub up against and hug any woman who will let you near them, each time almost achieving a slight bit of an erection, and by the end of the day, you have a slick of pre-cum in your undies. Now imagine you are the lower back portion of the underwear on the person described above. That would be my guess as to what Trump's shroom tastes like.

I was just talking to Trumpy Neighbor about Trump's endorsement of various candidates.

She is so dumb, she doesn't understand that buying into the Big Lie is a prerequisite to getting support from Trump.

So I told her the story that came out last week about Chip Roy and Mike Lee and their text exchanges with Mark Meadows. I made them sound like heroes for standing up to Trump, because I knew it would keep her attention. The fact that they're Republicans and I'm saying something good about them will keep her interest. I told her that I commended them for telling the truth and for voting to certify the election, even though Trump hates them now.

She was just bewildered. She thinks that Trump doesn't hold grudges.

I reminded her about Brad Raffensperger, who also stood up and told the truth. Trump trashed him six ways from Sunday and has endorsed another candidate against him.

She said nothing, but I could tell from her facial expression that she knew I was right.

She then said lamely that Trump did "lots of good for our country." So I jumped in and pointed out some of the good things: the prison reform bill, the Abraham Accords, the USMCA, and Project Warpspeed. I don't think she knew what any of those were. She said, "The Wall."

I knew it. She thinks that Trump built "The Wall" and that no immigrants came in during his tenure. Then after he left, Biden opened the gates, and millions of filthy immigrants are flooding in.

She understands nothing. I tell her it's not that much different from one administration to the next, but she doesn't believe me.

Everyone's favorite secret Yiddish bedbug has been endorsed by an orange dictator tot wannabe and his lovely wife, Harlot O'Scara.

Yep. It always stuck with me how Republicans accused of Obama being like a cult leader, referring him repeatedly to him as "dear leader." Turns out it was all projection, and they were just looking for their own cult leader.

I think Harlot O'Scara is inspired.

He transferred all of his money to a second company he controls, so this is a smoke screen to avoid accountability.

"Vance’s own internal polls revealed that no one likes him..."

Well, that certainly hasn't slow-rolled Ted Cruz.

of course he has, and of course it is. we'll see how that goes, though.

It's been a full-blown cult for some time. Remember - the Republican Party didn't have a platform in 2020. It was just whatever Chump said at the moment.

Spoiler: it always was and always will be.
