Smart lawyers don't work for Trump. He lies to them, ignores their advice, and stiffs them on the bill. The trifecta of lawyer pet peeves.

Nah. He's instinctive, and he had a bunch of sleazy lawyers and bought judges. We're just seeing the money advantage taken to a colossal extreme.

People want to be associated with what appears to be success, even if it means a gold toilet.

'There are rich and poor Republicans, but they are all bigots" Also, the people in Congress enjoy making a lot of money and having a nice benefit structure..

No state income tax in Florida. That can mean a lot of money to someone making several digits.

So Eric thinks moving to Florida was the best thing he ever did. Daddy was based in New York, though. Daddy desperately wanted to be accepted by the Manhattan socialite crowd, which was never gonna happen, so Daddy did all his shit in New York. Shoulda done it in Florida, I guess.

Excellent point! I lived in NYC during the 1980s when real estate was going up 100% a year. How anyone could have LOST money in that environment, I will never know.

I think they all vie for daddy's attention, and hope when he dies, he leaves them all of the thousands of dollars.

It STILL bugs the shit out of me that because of our screwed up voting system, a guy who LOST by 3 million votes, got to appoint THREE Supreme Court justices. Particularly since the loser is such an amoral con man, who's paid for at least one abortion that I know of.

Thank you. I've got appointments set up, and hopefully it will all turn out okay. I think I'd rather be dealing with this than what Trump has to handle.

Yeah, there's no way Trump does any jail time. I seriously doubt any of the kids will, either. They MIGHT have to pay some fines, but they'll skate on doing time. Now if I had done any of the crap they'd done, I'd be in the hoosegaw for years.

I disagree, I genuinely think he's an idiot.

The only real money he ever made in his life he made from The Apprentice, a show he did not create or write. In fact, the "huge company" he built had about 8 employees, most of them family members. He lost more money than any other business person in American history in one year. His "success" was pretending to be a billionaire after he lost all of his father's money.

Also, the Republican party has been full of nothing but morons for quite some time. I'd say Rupert Murdoch is more responsible for the rise of Donald Trump than Donald Trump is. Murdoch has been lying to the rubes for decades. Sarah Palin was a serious candidate that the GQP loved, and that was 8 years before Trump. I also think Trump is losing his grip on the GQP, other than in the most rednecky states. Fifty percent of Republicans do NOT want him to run in 2024. If he thinks he can win, he'll run. There's a possibility he can win, if the country is in terrible shape, but if things are decent, he'll lose by 10 million votes.

I'll give him one thing - he really did manage to bring out the vote, since more people than ever voted in 2020, during a pandemic. Unfortunately for Trump, the majority of the country hates his guts, and the people who love him are flaming morons. Never forget that Ted Cruz was the runner up in 2016 - the GQP has gone full batshit crazy, and Trump was just the right dipshit who showed up at the right time to control a party of assholes. He'd be NOTHING if he didn't have an insane party backing him 100%.
