Let's hope the next Democrat has the wherewithal to tar all this shit down brink by brick and tune it into affordable housing. I don't want to hear about any more "comity" or "decorum".

Iran: Strait of Hormuz, bitch! (mic drop)

Arch will be as permanent as the solar panels (actually a great idea for next resident) Carter put up on the roof during his presidency. The arch will remain for as long as Trump is in the White House, be that in 2029, or God willing and with the aid of cholesterol , sooner.

This monstrosity blocks the view of the White House. All that gorgeous expanse of lawn, ripped out. Sure, there’s cement surrounding the Eiffel Tower but the structure is an engineering marvel and creates the view, not block it. This ogre has zero aesthetic or ANY taste for good design at all.

The Epstein Memorial Ballroom is a mish mash of eras of building design as another example of crappy design.

If he leaves that UFC thing up it will come down faster than a carny ride in a church festival once he’s out of office.

JFC. Even his ridiculous comparison chart is a lie. The scale is completely and deliberately wrong. He literally lies about every fucking thing.

What happened to all that bravado, the end of a civilization and what not.

Bravado is a noun that refers to a bold, swaggering display of courage, often intended to impress others, intimidate rivals, or mask internal vulnerability.

Add a Ferris wheel, some corn dog stands, a proper carnival row -- may as well go all-in on the aesthetic. Wait, carnies are actually hard-working people, so they would be a poor reflection of this administration.

It might be more cathartic to beat down these eyesores with sledgehammers?

I agree.

All the way down to Barron.

It’s the only way to be sure.

The older I get, the more I believe America is going through some sort of mass psychosis. Billionaires controlling the world, destroying the only planet we have. Climate change is actively happening, with stronger consequences every year. Barely fettered capitalism is literally killing us, and most citizens distrust their governments for one reason or another. And we have definitive PROOF of a worldwide sex trafficking cabal now as well.

And yet. It seems most of us who can see it are paralyzed, myself included. Worse, so many of us can't see it. They won't see it. Because they simply don't care to. Mass psychosis is the gentlest explanation for them, honestly. Sigh... I wish I had a better outlook, but that's impossible now.

Really glad I'm ancient, and never had kids.

The fact that a Republican billionaire is currently the leading candidate in my state has me accepting that we are a garbage people and we are never getting good things back. Sure, we will probably have the votes to beat him in the general, but yeah, this country belongs to the death cult that is the GOP now.

I feel you. I also think COVID kind of broke some people’s brains (mine included).

fair_n_hite_451's avatar

I can attest it certainly changed mine. I now find myself - when in the company of others, in fun situations like sharing beer and wings in a bar or something - filled with thoughts of "I could just leave and go home and be by myself right now"

Covid made me realize how much I like people. I’ve been much more social in the after times. I combated some isolation by baking and giving cupcakes to random people at an open mall nearby. It was only the briefest of touches but it felt like a little connection.

“Hang Mike Pence” don’t you understand what Trump is doing? What that highly-lit arena is really for. My conspiracy theory is that Trump is calling his white supremacist military members to apply to be in his show. He is getting his most violent followers to the Capitol under the pretext of a fight. “It Will Be Wild” is the trigger. I sure hope the democrats are ready for this.

Ya know, it might be more cathartic to beat down these eyesores with sledgehammers. They could sell or rent special commemorative ones with "8647" inlaid in the handles with fake gold. I'd wallop the Temu Thunderdome with one for at least a day. I'd make a special one-day trip just to do that. Sightseeing can wait - must knock down Tangerine Mussolini's monuments to himself first.

Anyone remember this show from our first sojourn in hell? It was so good. I wish more people watched it because then maybe … yeah, probably not. But anyway, so good.

Everything he "made" using the White House/Presidential Seal shoild go right back into the building he demolished. Because he had no right to do it in the first place

Even if it made a bit of difference how the length of the reflecting pool compares to skyscrapers (WTF?), it's not like he had anything to do with the size of the pool What a dum(b)-ass.
