I don't think Abbott or DeSantis could get elected. They don't have the Trump star power that brings his people to the polls. But assuming they could, I think it'd be a wash between "evil competent" and "evil incompetent". On the one hand, Trump's incompetence kept him from doing further evil, but on the other hand there are basic levels of governance that even an evil competent can perform that we normally wouldn't have to worry about.
As collateral damage to this shitshow, live next door in Delaware, I would not trust Oz or McCormick with my last dime or any of my dogs. Unfortunately, a lot of Pennsylvania just sucks that crap up.
I have actually seen more Carla Sands (another carpetbagger who sold her house in Malibu so she could run for Senate in PA) yard signs in the heavily Republican section of PA where I work than I have Oz signs. And she sorta-kinda worked for TFG!
