'Consumers'? 'Consumers in Iowa' were somehow damaged by a bad poll? OK, what now?

That is one helluva stretch.

In order for a lawsuit to be successful, there have to be proven damages. what were they in this case? Big Bad Donnie having his fee fees hurt because someone said something negative about him and published it in a newspaper does not constitute compensatory damages.

I mean, it's not like she called him out for sexual assault in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman or anything.

Election interference. He keeps using those words. I do not think they mean what he thinks they mean.

You know, if he moved forward meticulously, with a bit of caution, Trump would have a chance of instituting a fascist authoritarian dictatorship in the United States. But if he goes sailing off into the high seas of fantasy with his 1.5% win and loses all contact with reality, he'll suffer the fate of all conquerors who hold the victory parade too early.

IANAL, so maybe I missed something in all the legalese, but did they ever get to the point where they allege Assmouth suffered damages as a result of the poll? Even if the poll was intended as election interference, doesn’t he have to show how he was harmed by it?

We should all be grateful Trump made it OK to say "grocery" again.

People who are very good at cyber can often afford grocery

Jean Carroll's lawyers should issue third party restraining notices under New York practice law to the defendants in this BS suit and any other BS suits he brings, directing they not pay him a dime until her judgment is satisfied.

It is his intimidation for the next election. He wants to control the polls. His ego is so wrappped up in how others see him. This is part of the authoritarian bullshit!

If I were Ann Seltzer I would counter sue and get a hand count of the presidential race in Iowa. Prove he cheated and she's right.

for fucks sake - can the brief be sent back with 'sir this is an arby's' written on it and a bright red F in the corner?

“suing the newspaper for aggravated Hurt My Feelings” actually isn’t a very strong look ...

Yes it is. They think "strong" means "hurts anyone who looks at you cross-eyes". His base love this stuff. Liberals need more "theory of mind", i.e. being able to understand that YES Trump voters are seeing the same thing as you are, but THEY LOVE IT.

This sounds a lot like that time he got his fee fees hurt by Kathy Griffin.

This is about harassment.

John R Hoffman's avatar

I have every faith we'll be seeing Kathy Griffin back on New Year's Eve, maybe next year or the tear after. She and the pale White "Journalist", together again, co-hosting and mocking Ryan Seacrest!

I don't care if I'm a conspiracy nut.

I believe that the 2024 election was fixed at most every level.

Why would anyone think that -this- time they were honest?

They owned "election interference" and knew we couldn't accuse -them- of it.

The day after, we were gaslit into taking the blame and cowed into silence.

Seven weeks to make your peace.

In my opinion that poll may have increased Trump's victory margin by getting some voters who thought Trump had an easy win so they would stay home to decide to get out and vote for the con man. I can't imagine any realistic scenario where it would get more votes for Harris or fewer votes for Trump.

What does "realistic" have to do with this shitsuit?

For every person who claims trump isn't going to weaponize the DOJ, take notice. This man is going after a person and a newspaper for reporting poll results. I actually think those poll results helped him more than they hurt. If there were voters in Iowa who might not have voted because they felt it was a given he'd win their state, they maybe made sure to vote. On the other hand democrats had too much confidence due to pundits and pollsters assuring them he couldn't win.

Also, is it too late for Hillary to sue James Comey?

Maelen Moonsinger's avatar

He will weaponize the DOJ and blow his own dick off with it.

Is this an Official Presidenting Act? Or is "Sir" only "sir" today?

The dumbasses that voted for him. I have a friend who voted for Harris but thinks I'm exaggerating about how bad trump will be. She actually thinks republicans in congress will stop him and if not him, the courts.
