Ashley Madison's Adulterer Of The Century says...WHAT????
Newt Gingrich is trying to buck up Republicans by predicting, contrary to all the polls, a GOP midterm victory so crushing that it could lead to the annihilation of the Democratic Party.
"Gingrich also told Hannity that House Speaker Mike Johnson should refuse to give committee assignments to elected representatives who, Gingrich claims, βhate America.β"
Republican Senate candidate Michele Tafoya must have forgotten the internet always keeps its receipts while on the campaign trail earlier this month.
Asked about her past criticisms of Minnesota while talking to local station WCCO earlier this month, the former NFL reporter claimed sheβd never said she was embarrassed to live in the North Star State.
βIβm embarrassed to say I live in Minnesota. This state has gone so far left itβs amazing any of the snow still sticks,β she was caught writing in an archived version of the post.
I asked my sister what she wants for her upcoming birthday. After I impatiently got her past her reflexive answer of "Oh I don't need anything," she said she's interested in a book: "Profiles in Cowardice," by Jacob Weisberg.
I just ordered it, along with another book that she didn't ask for but I know she wants: "Regime Change," by you know who. I know she wants it because she asked if she could borrow it from me and I said sorry, I bought it as an e-book.
I ordered through bookstore dot org, which was recommended by others here. They sell books from independent bookstores only. Their motto: "Friends Don't Let Friends Shop Amazon."
Uncharacteristically, I paid a whole three dollars and change extra to upgrade from the slowest to the second-slowest delivery option. This will give me time to at least read a few of the pieces in the Weisberg book, whose victims include Jeff Bezos and Megyn Kelly.
It does NOT count as regifting if you read it right away first. Shut up.
I want someone to write a book called "The Men Who Brought Us Fascism" & I want to treat each chapter as a target list. Cross them off, one by one, after the hangings.
I'm recording my blood pressure everyday for three months for my doctor to see if I have high blood pressure. If it's too high I have a pill to take until then. It's been mostly slightly high but slowly with the dreaded Lifestyle Changes getting better. Except on days like today when I tell my mom I need to sit quietly for five minutes to take my blood pressure, she says "ok"..... and immediately starts reminding me of everything I still need to get done tonight, preferably right now, all at once.
Then she wonders why my blood pressure spiked to 156/76! I'll take it again before I go to bed, if I remember, but it's pill time for me now. I do put asterisks next to readings like this -*Mom stressed me out while taking it.
You mom probably knows that stress increases blood pressure. She just has no idea on Earth that her friendly reminders could possibly cause stress -- surely not when they're made with such loving good intentions!
I hate that the right way to take blood pressure is to sit calmly for a few minutes before doing so, but they never fucking take it that way at the doctor's office.
"White coat syndrome, or white coat hypertension, is the term for when you get a high blood pressure reading in a doctorβs office and a normal reading at home. The anxiety of being around doctors in white coats can make your blood pressure rise."
"Maybe it was the three hour wait in the waiting room, followed by the half hour wait before the nurse came in here and jammed a blood pressure cuff up to my shoulder without even saying hello."
My last doctor would have the nurse take it almost exactly the way I said, then he'd take it himself after I sat, waiting for him, trying to calm myself before he came in because I knew the nurse's reading was high. His reading would be lower. He'd then look at my recorded results for two weeks before the appointment, which at worst the high end of normal. And then he'd increase the dosage of my amlodipine and want to see me again in three months.
10, but I haven't taken it for a while. I have about 20 pills left. My plan is to take them daily before my next doctor's appointment so I can go in with that baseline and see what the new doctor says. But first I have to get around to finding a new doctor.
MNGOP state auditor candidate Scott Jensen says he's gonna audit clouds: "We need to recognize weather modification could have some -- modifying weather because we don't like the pattern of rainfall that we're getting is a potentially terrible idea"
It's John Coltrane's 100th birthday this year. My local jazz station (WKCR) is playing 100 Hours of Trane in celebration. Here's one of my all time favorite sax & piano combinations - John and McCoy Tyner - on My Favorite Things.
Get completely baked out of your gourd and imagine Joe Biden had a tirade like this at the UN, threatening annihilation no less. All with the moral detachment of Jizzy Divan fondling the crevices of a loveseat.
What do you think would be happening to him right now? To all Democrats running for office?
"Why, exactly, Trump is giving Xi higher honors than he has ever given a democratically elected leader is unclear.
βHe seems to like autocrats better than democrats,β said Michael McFaul, the U.S. ambassador to Russia in the Obama administration and now a professor at Stanford University. βItβs an embarrassing mistake.β
While U.S. presidents have greeted visiting popes at the airport in recent decades, they have not welcomed foreign leaders on tarmacs since the administration of John F. Kennedy in the 1960s, when their planes arrived at National Airport, just a few miles from the White House.
βHe shouldnβt do it. Beijing will portray this as a sign of subordinate status,β said John Bolton, one of Trumpβs first-term national security advisers who, like other critics, has been prosecuted by Trumpβs Department of Justice.
βHad the White House asked me for advice, I would have suggested the president not invite Xi Jinping to Washington for such a lavish welcome here in the United States, based on all of the troubling issues we have with President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party,β U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, a Republican from Mississippi and chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in a floor speech Tuesday. βDuring every minute of dialogue, our commander in chief should keep in mind that his guest is a brutal, unelected and oppressive dictator.β"
And yet, no sanctions, no censure; all bow before the God of Mamon.
Lewis really loves Workstool. He is destroying it a little each day...on some days a lot.

Misspelled βfuckβ
Hey, remember when he ran for president and lost to Rick Santorum and Herman Cain? That was fun.
The newt that never got better.
A) Heβs still alive?
B) βGingrich is a stupid manβs idea of what a smart man sounds like.β (Still applies.)
Let's grab you a pudding and get you back on the bedpan.
βLook Newt! A bird is right outside your window. Just sit here and lecture it . Tell it how you used to be relevant.β
"Gingrich also told Hannity that House Speaker Mike Johnson should refuse to give committee assignments to elected representatives who, Gingrich claims, βhate America.β"
If the election goes the way Newt thinks it will, who would these representatives be?
And if it goes the way that seems far more likely, Mike won't be the one making those choices.
OK, Newt.
Whatever he's on, he should cut the dosage.
Or quintuple it.
Probably could make some serious cash selling on the street, also too.
That guy must be 100 by now
He's 83. That's still one old newt.
Time for a new wife.
He wonβt get better though
He's a few tubes short of an amplifier.
A few sliders short of a mixing board.
Having already lost the war against Iran
I recommend Trump stick to enjoying his pudding cups
And listening to Natalie read him heroic Soviet accomplishments . . .
She seems nice.

I thought white coat syndrome meant you believed idiotic things just because a doctor or someone in a white coat said them.
I was *shocked* when I was at my neurologist and my blood pressure was not sky high, but an almost respectable reading.
"Your blood pressure looks a little high."
"Maybe it was the three hour wait in the waiting room, followed by the half hour wait before the nurse came in here and jammed a blood pressure cuff up to my shoulder without even saying hello."
The last time I went to the cardiologist, they took my BP just before a test, and then a different assistant took it immediately after.
My last doctor would have the nurse take it almost exactly the way I said, then he'd take it himself after I sat, waiting for him, trying to calm myself before he came in because I knew the nurse's reading was high. [raises hand] Fellow amlodipine gobbler here. I'm on 5 mg/day.
