During the summer, I bought three pair of shorts, the same item, different colors. They fit so differently that I thought two of 'em had to be counterfeit...

I joke that clothing made in Asia has "American" sizing, by which I mean they have sized it based on cartoonish ideas of what westerners look like. I have, in the past but no more, bought items from fast fashion retailers like Temu and Shein and the proportions for the bust to waist ratio are ALWAYS way off. They don't seem to follow industry standards the way better quality retailers do and I think some of their cost-savibg practices have leaked into better quality manufacturers.
Best explanation for all this I've seen is that they've talked investors into spending trillions on a market that has demand measured in millions, and they're trying to get the spectacle of regulation so they can tell those investors it's not their fault they couldn't keep their promises.
Someone should just casually say "SI. That's Spanish for 'yes'." He'll change it back with the quickness.
